Due to repeated questions in the thread here are additional details.
The $300 Verizon GC offer is tied to purchasing a smartphone online. You are eligible to claim this offer for every order transaction regardless if you are placing an order for 1 phone/line or 10 phones/lines.
The $200 Verizon GC offer folks have been receiving via sales chat/phone is a switch promotion. I am not able to find the terms for this offer but in the past this has been an available offer which requires you to port in from a non Verizon carrier that includes the various Verizon prepaids and MNVOs.
To my knowledge these Verizon GC offers have 12 month service terms or you will be charged back "claw back"
There are currently 2 separate iPhone 16 offers.
- the offer in this post which involves the trade in of any Apple, Google, and Samsung device for $1000 in bill credits with new lines
- no trade in required to receive $1000/$820/$640 in bill credits with new lines for the Ultimate/Plus/Welcome plans respectively
When you add the phone to the cart you must choose the right offer otherwise you will not go through the workflow with the step to add a trade in.
In addition if you enter a non Apple, Google, or Samsung device during the trade in you will receive the actual value of the device, including $0 if its older to be recycled,
AND you'll be defaulted to the non trade in promotion.
This is the reason at checkout some people are seeing $10/month or $5/month because they've selected the Welcome or Plus plan respectively and the non trade in offer has been applied.
There have also been a lot of "can I trade in XXX phone?".
The terms state you can trade in ANY Apple, Google, or Samsung phone in any condition. In my experience the any condition is intentionally meant to covered cracked screens and aesthetic damages. The device should turn on and function well enough that the IMEI can be retrieved and have no swelling/damaged battery (for safe handling reasons). Regarding any phone from the 3 manufacturers the process is constrained by the system and the list of devices/imei in its database. Be reasonable and don't expect extremely obscure or foreign region only devices to come up.
You can determine for yourself if a device qualifies for the $1000 by going through the online order process. You will need to enter the IMEI so you must have the device in hand. If you are not getting the $1000 value then you likely have not selected the right offer when adding the phone to the cart or your device is too obscure. I've attached screenshots of 2 devices that have been inquired about (A03 and 5c) showing the $1000 trade in amount.

- As per your screenshot, I tried using the second option (Trade-In) and tested it for 1/2/3/4 lines which gave me 65/55/40/30 per month for plan respectively, but the trade-in credit of $1000 ($27.77 / mo ) is not applied (rather it is reverting to other promo) if I skip trade-in process (asking for IMEI, which I don't have now). Question - How do I do the "trade-in" later workflow and still get the $1000 credit applied on the order confirmation screen?
- You said we can stack with Walmart $300 offer - did you mean we can get the Walmart $300 GC as well as the Verizon $300 GC for switching? or just that once Walmart purchase is over, we can initiate the trade-in with Verizon to get the $1000 installment credits?
- Does anyone know Can we create multiple lines on same account / order with Walmart and get $300 GC for each line?
Thanks for the help you are providing in this thread!!edit: she is telling me its either the 200 per line or the 300 total. in which case i'm just gonna do the 200 per line and forget the 300 cause i know that gets clawed back cause i'm reading the fine print. But i haven't even seen where the 200/line deal is written down at
Pretty much all Verizon GCs have had this 12 month term language for the past year or 2.
I'd like to take advantage of the 300 walmart per line and also trade-in via Verizon while sticking to the basic unlimited plan.

Porting can be done through the online portal, via phone, or in a corporate store.
I do not know where to find the terms for the $200 offer that folks have been reporting from sales chat.
How did you execute the deal in regards to ordering through walmart or verizon and porting numbers or new line.
The plan qualification for this specific offer includes the lowest cost/tier plan.

The $300 GC offer is a Verizon online specific promo tied to ordering through Verizon's website. It pops up and can be added to the Verizon cart. It appears to be a per order promotion not tied to the number of lines in each order. Someone has reported that they went though the painstaking process of ordering 1 line at a time however that requires the 1st line to be shipped, delivered, and activated before they can register a Verizon account and place more orders. Given this current promotion is set to expire on 12/2 I doubt you can maximize the $300 GC in this way.
For the Walmart promotion (or any other retailer promotion for that matter: Best Buy, Samsung, Target, etc.) you have always been able to stack retailer promotions with Verizon promotions. I have 15 years of experience doing this managing a 10 line account. The way Verizon trade in promotions work is that once you meet the promotion eligibility requirements Verizon will apply the promotion to your account/line that can be claimed when you submit a trade in. This can happen during the order process or up to 30 days after activation. Thus you can stack retailer promotions by placing your order through the retailer first, meet your trade-in promo eligibility requirements, and then submit a trade-in either through the online portal or at a corporate store.
If you order through Walmart or other retailers you will not get the $300 and likely not the $200 GC offer. In addition I do not know how to start a multi-line order via Walmart. Perhaps someone else has done so and can chime in.
High level steps to stack offers:
1. Order your iPhone 16 variety and start new service through Walmart to claim your $300 Walmart GC.
2. Receive your phone and activate your service. Register for a Verizon online account.
3. Go to https://vzw.com/trade-in and submit any iPhone, Google, or Samsung device. You must be logged in at this step. The trade-in submission workflow should provide you the $1000 promotional value.
Keep in mind going through Walmart will not allow you to go through cashback for Verizon nor give you the $300 VZW GC offer.
