This is a pretty good deal from Verizon. This offer expires on 12/2. > QA note: Offer extended

https://www.verizonwireless.com

Get up to 4 iPhone 16 Pro 128Gb free via bill credits over 36 months after trading in any Apple, Google, or Samsung phone with any new myPlan Unlimited line. This includes the cheapest and lowest tier Unlimited Welcome. For 4 lines it works out to be $120+taxes and fees with a debit card autopay.

Terms: "$999.99 (128 GB only) purchase w/new smartphone line on Unlimited Ultimate, postpaid Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Welcome plan (min. $65/mo w/Auto Pay (+taxes/fees) for 36 mos) req'd per phone. Less $1,000 trade-in/promo credit applied over 36 mos. per phone; promo credit ends if eligibility req's are no longer met; 0% APR. Trade-in must be from Apple, Google or Samsung; trade-in terms apply. Apple Intelligence is available with Siri and device language set to U.S. English. Some features and languages will be coming over the next year."

In addition you can recieve a $300 Verizon gift card that will appear as a popup during checkout.

Terms: "Get a $300 Verizon e-Gift Card on us, when you complete the smartphone purchase from your cart. You'll be able to redeem a $300 Verizon e-Gift Card in My Verizon or vzw.com/myverizon after placing your order. You must submit for redemption within 60 days of order. Your reward will be sent via email within 8 weeks after receipt and validation of claim to the submitted email address. If service is canceled or device is returned, claim will be invalid. We reserve the right to charge the amount of the Verizon e-Gift Card to your Verizon Wireless account if, within 12 months, service is canceled, price plan changes from an eligible unlimited plan, or the line is connected to a device payment plan regardless of whether the new device is activated. A suspension without billing will add the time you are suspended to your 12 month chargeback window. Add'l terms apply."

Verizon devices auto unlock after 60 days.

Due to repeated questions in the thread here are additional details.

The $300 Verizon GC offer is tied to purchasing a smartphone online. You are eligible to claim this offer for every order transaction regardless if you are placing an order for 1 phone/line or 10 phones/lines.

The $200 Verizon GC offer folks have been receiving via sales chat/phone is a switch promotion. I am not able to find the terms for this offer but in the past this has been an available offer which requires you to port in from a non Verizon carrier that includes the various Verizon prepaids and MNVOs.

To my knowledge these Verizon GC offers have 12 month service terms or you will be charged back "claw back"

There are currently 2 separate iPhone 16 offers.
- the offer in this post which involves the trade in of any Apple, Google, and Samsung device for $1000 in bill credits with new lines
- no trade in required to receive $1000/$820/$640 in bill credits with new lines for the Ultimate/Plus/Welcome plans respectively

When you add the phone to the cart you must choose the right offer otherwise you will not go through the workflow with the step to add a trade in.

In addition if you enter a non Apple, Google, or Samsung device during the trade in you will receive the actual value of the device, including $0 if its older to be recycled, AND you'll be defaulted to the non trade in promotion.

This is the reason at checkout some people are seeing $10/month or $5/month because they've selected the Welcome or Plus plan respectively and the non trade in offer has been applied.

There have also been a lot of "can I trade in XXX phone?".
The terms state you can trade in ANY Apple, Google, or Samsung phone in any condition. In my experience the any condition is intentionally meant to covered cracked screens and aesthetic damages. The device should turn on and function well enough that the IMEI can be retrieved and have no swelling/damaged battery (for safe handling reasons). Regarding any phone from the 3 manufacturers the process is constrained by the system and the list of devices/imei in its database. Be reasonable and don't expect extremely obscure or foreign region only devices to come up.

You can determine for yourself if a device qualifies for the $1000 by going through the online order process. You will need to enter the IMEI so you must have the device in hand. If you are not getting the $1000 value then you likely have not selected the right offer when adding the phone to the cart or your device is too obscure. I've attached screenshots of 2 devices that have been inquired about (A03 and 5c) showing the $1000 trade in amount.

Anyone know if you can mix and match? I have 8 lines to transfer and I'd like some to have Unlimited Welcome and others to have Unlimited Plus.

Be careful. Verizon quoted me a monthly price factoring in the trade-in, then they increased the total monthly cost by $40 during check-out. Shame on Verizon.

go online and change your payment to autopay and 10 dollars cheaper for each line. Then if you did a trade in for four devices once you perform that another 40 comes off.

I thought it was too, but its not. I didnt port any numbers in. I had them give me four new lines and i got the 200/line

edit: I still did trade ins too i should mention
You don't need to port in during the order transaction. Typically you have up to 30 days to do it.

I'm speculating though as I have not seen the promo currently listed on Verizon's website. I do know they have offered $200 to switch in the near past so I'm guessing off those prior offers.

Yes you can mix and match. You can also switch plans freely as needed once you become a customer. You only have to be cautious about maintaining any promo eligibility if you do so. The great thing about this offer is ALL myPlan plans qualify so if you want to switch frequently your bill credits are not at risk.

Few questions,

Will the auto unlock if they are abroad? Was planning on gifting these to friends in India, but worried if the unlock will still work automatically if they are not on network.

Phones with swollen batteries are no good?

Any cheap ebay options for trade ins? Only got 2 phones that qualify right now.

Thanks

Just finished chartting with Verizon, my 4 lines monthly total with trade-ins and autopay is $158.93 ($38.93 fees and tax) in MD. Not sure I want to switch as I am paying Tmoible $120 each month and don't really need new phones

I'm currently on one of the older T-Mobile plans paying roughly the same for 4 lines. I'm thinking of switching over because they haven't offered a trade in promotion in years since offering these latest plans. I don't want to give up in flight WiFi and international roaming but I do want upgrade from my iPhone 11. Thoughts?

How does this deal compare against XFINITY deal? They're currently giving out $1000 trade-in for iPhone 16 Pro against iPhone 12 Pro and higher. You need to have xfinity internet and 2 lines on their unlimited plan comes out at $30+taxes per line.

How are they making money on this, 4k worth of free stuff and $150 bill will take ages to profit? Am I missing something here, never used Verizon, on sucky T-Mobile plan and paying similar amount unless free lines are counted.

It gets worse. I have 5 lines on my plan, all grandfathered in under the old plans (they were called 5G, 5G Play More, etc.).
Two of the lines are on the 2nd tier plan while the other three are on the lowest tier.

They don't want anyone on these plans anymore, so at first they added a surcharge to two of lower-tiered lines. Then they added a surcharge to the other three about six months later.

Within the last month, they reduced my autopay/paperless billing discount from $10 to $5 per line each month, so effectively increased my bill $25+ tax a month.

What made this really shady is this:

I finally got fed up with the blackmail, so I inquired about moving my three bottom tier lines to their Unlimited Welcome plan, but when I went to do it, it said I would lose my discount. I have a few discounts on my plan, so I wasn't sure how any would be affected by switching the plan. I called to ask, and the woman said I'd lose the discounts for the phones if I moved (36 monthly bill credits to amortize the cost of the phones). She them proceeded to try and sell me on the next plan up as this would keep the phone discount intact, but the problem is I don't need anything more than the Welcome plans for those three lines.

So I basically told her that you penalized me without any way to rectify it until the phones are paid off (7 months from now).

They do some real shady s*it at this company.

I know that and was factoring that in. My issue is that they surreptitiously altered the trade-in value during the final step.

My family and I already have a Verizon plan. Would need to switch to one the unlimited plus it looks like to get the free iPhone 16 pro with 36 month credits it looks like…or $830 in credits not sure on that. Are we able to get any of the gift card offers or is that only for new lines/customers? Looking to maximize the deal.

How fussy are they about phone condition? I have an old iPhone 5 that looks fine but the screen is a little flakey.
