No, this is too new.
The last camera that was eligible for the grandfathered CamPlus Lite was the v3.

This still has local storage on SD card and remote playback, but no cloud clips nor AI/smart detections.

No - These will still trigger on movement. The difference is that the subscription will store the video and allow you to instantly play it for up to 10 seconds (or something). However, if you have a MicroSD card in it, you can still replay the video from any internet connection via the app for however long you like.

Actually, the OG came after the V3 which many said it was no longer super cheap as the V1/V2 was for all the features it brought so when they released the OG they were kinda saying, we are back to basics... because it did add a bunch of better/new stuff and at a great price when it came out.

These would be perfect for that. I use one for a similar reason so I don't have a need for movement notifications, cloud features, nor do I have privacy concerns.

I have a couple Wyze OGs, and one eventually died, so I ordered 2 more. I have over 20 Wyze cams, and only 2 have died or had serious issues so far over many years. Cheap enough to replace, especially at this price.

I have SD cards in all mine, and recently got Cam Plus Unlimited, which is a good deal since I have 20+ cams at only $89 a year total. I previously only had Cam Plus on the 2 most important cameras for several years, but now all cams are covered.

Odd that Wyze doesn't sell a camera with zoom. They do have the OG Tele, but it is a fixed zoom, not adjustable, and no pan. I suppose you could attach it to the top of a V3 Pan, but it wasn't designed for that: It was designed to optionally be used with regular OG.

from what i've read.. wyze is moving downhill... everyone says that wyze is intentionally making things more difficult/un-useable to push ppl to getting the subscription. i.g. features "not working" for some reason.

Perfect. I would recommend putting them on remote outlets in case you need to reboot them remotely. They occasionally need a reboot sometimes, like after some updates.

Even better with the windows mounts. They work best flat against the glass or nearly flat. The LED lights (IR, Spotlight, Indicator) will need to be turned off inside glass, or all you will get is the light reflection. I have several looking out windows. I do have some not near the glass, looking out, and they work fine if it is dark inside and not totally dark outside, and when it is daytime out, of course.
