I've only had two minor issues. The magnet fell out of the screwdriver handle, and the rubber dried out on the spark plug socket so it won't grab the plug anymore.
On mine, the bottom tray is empty, which I love so I could put swivels and other stuff to fill out the kit. This one does have more wrenches though.

The 297 kit has at least 90 pieces of the little filler bits, as seen in the front left side of the top tray pic. Those don't have much value.
Also notice the Kobalt 250 retails for more at $219 vs $149 for the 297 pc kit.
This has far more standard and deep sockets than the others. Plus a far amount of wrench, lots of small sizes though. The others get the high counts from the excess allen keys and screw driver bits.
Some stores also have on stock for $99 clearance price. The online inventory for some reason did not pickup, maybe because of the clearance.
