Huh I had no idea that's how teleprompters work with the camera behind the glass. Neat. I'll have to make one. I had a youtube video hit like 30k views my first go around and getting a script up to read was the hardest part for me.
Can take a second crack at it.

I picked one of these up at full price earlier this year and I'm really happy with it. I've owned the type of teleprompter you mount a phone or tablet to. Having a permanent screen attached so you don't need to do five things every time you need a teleprompter is a big upgrade. If you are regularly in meetings where good eye contact while pitching is important, or if you're recording videos for youtube or whatever, this is worth the money.

There are a couple comments on making your own. I did it during the Pandemic, for around $5. The problem is that it isn't super stable, and you are using a piece of picture frame glass that can get reflections. The other problem is we aren't talking a very solid device. It works, but you have to be very careful not to knock into it. The other point is you need your own tablet while this has the display built into it.
