This driver doesn't appear to have a hammer mode, which is definitely recommend for light masonry. It makes a world of difference. Can't go too wrong with team red or yellow.

personally, id go with Ryobi. i havent checked other brands' combo deals, but Ryobi has the 6 basic tools for 199. plus you can buy all sorts of other random tools thatll use the same battery system (just like the other brands, but imo Ryobi has a greater selection of house tools)

I have what looks like an older version of this drill and I wouldn't recommend it for masonry work. Maybe a small hole on brick but anything larger or harder material is going to require a propper hammer drill, like an SDS plus.

Saying that, I'm on the kobalt ecosystem and it's worked great for me so far, started with a 4 tool bundle and I've gotten more tools to fit my needs, recommended over the budget brands for the DIYer.

Just picked this up. I've been looking for an affordable brushless drill and impact wrench to replace my old Craftsman C3 19.2v brushed drill and impact wrench. The drill just died after 10 years. Hopefully, these last as long or longer.
