I wish my wife WOULD tell me not to buy this. I'll buy two.

Klipsch amplifies fail a lot, I have 2 of these series but the 12" size and they both died suddenly from amplifier failure.
Can confirm. The amps on the lower reference series fail. Not sure about the RP series. Even at this price, with mfr warranty, not sure if I'd roll the dice on one.

Always buy first. Like "Z" says, once this thing shows up at the door you can fight about it, but it's too late. Adorama does not have free returns, so we are actually saving $300.00 to keep it "Dear"

How good it is compare to pb16ultra
I have the SVS and not one of these, but the fact that you can get 2 of these for less than the proce of the SVS is tempting

Exactly what I was thinking. Get one of these and save. If by some slim chance it's not enough, the pb16 wouldn't have been either. Get a second klipsch and enjoy.

Stop spreading misinformation. This is a completely new design. You cannot compare years old models with this one.

As someone who considers himself a bit of a Klipsch fanboy (I have a full RP line for my HT setup, including this sub, I have two unused RP bookshelf speakers, and I have an R sub in my office) I have read a lot of people complaining about failures on the RP subs. So, no, literally he's not the first person who has complained about it. But I see you also just joined Slickdeals, so maybe wait until you have a bit more experience here before you make an assertion as to what people do and don't complain about. This is a spankin' good deal on the sub. I bought it when it was $1100 a year ago and that was a good deal. This is a no-brainer deal. I might even get myself a second one at this price.BE WARNED. This sub is HUGE and HEAVY. The box it comes in is so big I literally have nowhere to store it. (It won't fit through the door into my storage area.)
I have a full RP setup too.. wohhoo... I didn't just join today, nor yesterday. I have joined AVS forums 15 years ago, so might be a newbie on slick deals, but I have been around home theater systems since the 90s. I did that Klipsch only had issues with R series subwoofer when they changed supplier back in the day and once they started to have issues they fixed they actually fixed the issue onward.

I bought this exact amp in this past July and really like it. However, the amp did fail on me about 2 weeks ago and Klipsch has sent a replacement amp. I heard these new amps were supposed to me more reliable than the prior line, but that has not been the case for me. Hopefully my issue is isolated.

Had the same problem with the 1400 box, couldn't get it up in the attic. Just pull out the packing and bag it up and then break the box down at both ends fold it flat and if you need it again you can just tape it back up.

You're getting downvoted for no reason but you're absolutely right. There are forums filled with people complaining of amp failures on these. Happened to me twice on my 15" RP sub. Klipsch was good about sending me a new board but I was without my sub for a month each time.
This was the older Klipsch series. The new series has a completely new amp that is supposedly much more reliable and durable.

This rp1200 or the monoprice 10s? Similar price shipped.
The monoprice is 2x as heavy and 30% bigger. I'd go RP-1200

I had a Monolith Thx12 before my Spl150, and the mono price was trash IMHO. It had like ZERO output.
My spl150 blows that thing out of the water, so I would see no reason why an RP wouldn't completely trounce on a Monoprice 10"
