Edit: For those that purchased a headset from Target after Nov 7 they can get the difference in gift card credit through chat.
Edit#2: There are steps to do so like clicking the link prior to setting up your headset. if you setup your headset first you have to factory reset it, then click the link and then go through setting up the headset again(within 7 days). Then use your link so others can click on yours. Do NOT post links or beg for them on SD posts as they will be deleted and result in bad points toward your SD account.
Welcome to VR, I suggest joining vrgamedeals on Reddit, getting a different 3rd party headband/strap(bobo/kiwi/globular), never letting your headset touch sun light(directly or mirror reflected), always clean with a clean microfiber cloth, if you wear glasses you can get magnetic prescription lenses for it that click in, rechargable batteries for the controllers, always charge with the original wall charger and know that if you want to play longer than 2 hours you'll need a battery pack(some headband/strap sets come with one).
Already activated the headset and forgot a link? Follow these steps within 7 days
â Open the Oculus app (Meta Horizon) on your phone
â Click your player/profile icon on the lower middle of screen
Click the three horizontal lines on the upper right of the screen
Scroll and click "Devices" with your headset on
Click "Headset Settings"
Go to "Advanced Settings
Click "Factory Reset Device"
Then login to https://secure.oculus.c
Use the menu and go to "Devices" and then remove device
â Click on a Banana link: Banana
â Reactivate the Quest going through the activation process
$60 will be added to your account wallet section within a day.
*If you go with an email setup for your account and try to pair your headset with your phone during activation and get an error keep tapping "try again" on your phone and bring it closer to your headset as it took me about 10 times for it to connect properly.
Find YOUR Banana link it is in your Meta account under Banana so you can continue to benefit from the Banana program. To get your credit you have to manually go to Banana in the Meta Horizon app and claim it.
*I'll probably get a point for this informative post. Sorry for those that run a translator.

Tracking isn't perfect but you won't need to setup base stations. Pancake lenses on the 3 are worth it (3s doesn't use pancake lenses) passthrough looks grainy but it's a video camera. Sadly Windows is pulling support for WMR(Windows Mixed Reality) devices.
I would say try at this price point and return or resell if unhappy with the experience (if you have the $)
