I called immediately before it went into fulfillment which I think helped me. Reading other posters they had issues getting resolution once it shipped.
Placed my 1 item order with tax and Over night Shipping came out to $482.39.
Checked my CSR account once i received a "Charge Alert" and the PENDING charge was for $493.38!!
A over charge of $10.99!!
Sent them a email and waiting for a reply.
I just called Chase because the same thing happened to me. IT DOES NOT count, the purchase needs to be one single transaction of $400
1. It needs to be one single transaction of $400 to qualify for the $200 cashback.
2. Backcountry could not merge transactions at all. My order has not shipped yet.
3. Backcountry suggested to return all the items and repurchase them again, call them ASAP immediately to that it's in transaction.
- Chase told me to call back after 14 days because it's their policy before escalating with merchant. They also told me it's possible it could correct itself before 14 days but I am doubtful. They also couldn't confirm if escalation after 14 days would do anything. Lots of uncertainties.
- Backcountry told me no luck, just return it or refuse delivery and reorder.
It's been a waste of a couple hours of my life and a trip to FedEx. Also, I usually have pretty good luck with Chase Reserve reps but this time, perhaps they're short staffed, felt hurried to get me off the phone without any solid answers.
