- I placed my order, then immediately started a Customer Service chat
- I told the agent:
- "I just placed a Backcountry order (Order Number: XXXXXXXXX), as I was fortunate to receive an offer on my Chase credit card as long as I spend $400 on a single transaction.
- Her reply:
- "I can set this with a deposit so it is billed once regardless of the shipping, I can hook that up!"
- "That is all set, the deposit is completed so that will be as 1 transaction on the credit card. The authorization made when placing it online will drop off on its own"
Good luck!I was told that it is not uncommon for Backcountry to split the order into separate transactions, so to ensure no problems I wanted to contact customer service right away (before fulfillment/shipping starts), so you can do some magic on your end to ensure 100% that the order is charged in a single transaction!"

I called again and spoke to the competent lady. She put in a deposit of one single amount and said that the split amounts would drop off and not post after going pending. Fingers crossed.
