This is a complete scam and I'm out $400+. Big hassle to have to return these items.
I've spoken to Chase and they said it appears Backcountry has an odd way of posting payments. Even split in two, there's no language in the offer saying it has to post as 1 transaction.
Second, it's taking a while for their charge to totally clear. Once it does, it's around 14 days from that point to receive the credit.
There is no hassle to return the items as you are under no obligation to do so...you'll receive your credit.
edit: Sorry for the thumbs down person that you don't like helpful, accurate information.
"Name, we reviewed your account and are unable to locate the Chase Offer from Backcountry activated on your card ending in XXXX. We would like to match the cash back offer, but you will need to email us the screenshot of the offer. We will then review and determine if the offer is eligible for the account."
I purchased on 12/2 and received the order on 12/5. It seems if your offer isn't in the "Redeemed" section and you didn't get the cashback, you need to reach out to Chase. It looks like Backcountry/Chase might have pulled the offer after activation, and some people purchased without realizing.
(Update) Now I see that I saved $50 on my redeemed section.
1. 12/2 purchases made. Temp charge on card
2. 12/3 Offer disappeared from offer wallet. New charge appeared with minor difference in price
3. 12/5 Items received.
4. 12/9 Offer shows as redeemed. Pending charge gone.
I took screenshots of everything (as a veteran slickdealer should), so I wasn't too worried the offer wouldn't be honored. Hope this helps someone.
Edit: Now waiting to see if 15% cashback from the other site will process correctly.

Offer finally shows up as redeemed today, 12/09. Purchased back on 12/03.
Purchased a single item which came out to $417.xx and charged to my card.
Offer updated in redeemed today, guess I can wear my new on clouds and patagonia now
Luckily i found the screenshots of this and the allbirds. So i'll give it til this Friday to send secure messages.
[edit] okay I'm pissed. I got the email that I successfully redeemed the shake shack offer (also ordered that day). Time to send the message with proof.
