NBC Shakeup -- Jay Leno Comes Out on Top [tmz.com]
No words on what will happen to Conan and Fallon... whether they both will get pushed back one hour of if one of them will be fired.
I prefer Leno at 11:30 than 10:00.

We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided -- whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien. We're told Jay and Conan have both been told of the changes. As for Jay, interestingly, he'll get what he always wanted -- his 11:30 PM time slot. |

In any case though, Conan's agent is saying that it might be more, that he was satisfied with how much NBC is giving his staff and that he may supplement that out of his own pocket. Conan is a stand up guy when it comes to his staff, he paid them throughout the writers strike. I believe Jon Stewart did this too. Having backgrounds in writing, he stood with them in solidarity. Compare this to the uber weasel Jay Leno, who broke ranks and wrote his own monologue, and the WGA sued him.

But just because the car is worth seven figures doesn't mean the show actually shelled that out to feature it on air. Auto lovers' Web site Jalopnik.com reported that O'Brien's show borrowed the vehicle from the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The museum did not immediately return a call for comment from ABCNews.com.
Even if "The Tonight Show" had to pay for a Bugatti, the price for its temporary use could be in the five-figure range. Luxury car rental service Beverly Hills Rent-a-Car, for instance, charges $25,000 per day for the rental of a Bugatti Veyron.
Four months later, he said, network executives informed him they were canceling his show but told him they wouldn't let him out of his contract because he was still "a valuable asset" to the company.
He said he agreed to host his show at 11:35 p.m. after NBC "almost guaranteed" to him that O'Brien would accept a "Tonight Show" shift to 12:05 a.m.
