NBC Shakeup -- Jay Leno Comes Out on Top [tmz.com]
No words on what will happen to Conan and Fallon... whether they both will get pushed back one hour of if one of them will be fired.
I prefer Leno at 11:30 than 10:00.

We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided -- whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien. We're told Jay and Conan have both been told of the changes. As for Jay, interestingly, he'll get what he always wanted -- his 11:30 PM time slot. |

However, I was surprised and disappointed he didn't mention Jay Leno's name in his last show. He could've simply said, "Jay, I pass the torch back to you. Good luck," or something to that effect.
Neil Young was good a couple decades ago. He's about twice the age of the avg. O'Brien viewer. Leno or Letterman would be more like his audience in terms of demographics.
You're welcome for the free lesson.
Think about it. He gets to move on. If he HAD stayed at NBC, he'd stay in Jay's shadow- and who knows, Jay could decide to stay longer than Conan. At least now, Conan is gone from that- and now Fallon (who is god awful) is in Jay's shadow- even possibly more than Conan, since NBC right now doesn't know their head from their ass, much less who could possibly take over their two late night show in the future.
I hope to see the final episode on hulu in the next couple days.
