Leno returned to 11:30pm time slot

NBC Shakeup -- Jay Leno Comes Out on Top [tmz.com]

We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided -- whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien.

We're told Jay and Conan have both been told of the changes. As for Jay, interestingly, he'll get what he always wanted -- his 11:30 PM time slot.
No words on what will happen to Conan and Fallon... whether they both will get pushed back one hour of if one of them will be fired.

I prefer Leno at 11:30 than 10:00.

Yeah, even silly or almost worthless banter like "Yeah, you tell 'em Jay!" or "What's this world coming to?" after Jay tells a joke deserving such comment would be better than complete silence from him. Eubanks was far from a comedian and often fouled up the punchlines the few times he tried, but that exchange between he and Jay was often amusing.

I noticed this as well. It's almost embarrassing. Ricky is just horrible.

Did NBC pick Ricky Minor or did Jay?

Weinberg took so much time off anyway, I don't find this surprising. Touring with Springsteen always took precedent, and Conan has a nice rapport with "La Bamba" and some of the other guys anyway, so it's not as big a loss.

Yeah, it's probably not a huge loss, but still almost as significant as when Leno lost Eubanks. I also suspect that Weinberg doesn't think the ratings will be all that on TBS and that he's better off focusing more on the E-Street band.

Given the recent trend of long-time musicians leaving their comedians, I guess Paul Schaffer and David Letterman are next on Splitsville. laugh out loud

I don't think it's a matter of being bitter, I think it's more that the only reason to ask Leno on his new show would be as a publicity stunt. Leno isn't a star, isn't promoting anything, and really has no business as a guest on this show. Conan would just be a ratings whore if he brought Leno in as a guest.

It's not a lie when you want everybody to know you're not telling the truth. Leno-loving losers who've been the target of Leno's pandering to the idiocracy may not understand that.
