Great coffee maker for the price. Mine looks slightly different since this looks to be a newer design.
I recommend.
infinitely better coffee and actually cheaper in the long run
2) Effort, time, counter space, cleaning effort, and cost for people drinking one cup or less daily is also a factor.
K-Cup is the VHS of coffee, Folgers is the Pluto/Tubi of coffee. Betamax/grinding is better, but not as popular for good reasons.

A decent burr grinder is going to run you at least $150 according to reviews I've read. You don't absolutely need it.
You could have the local roaster grind the beans instead. Buy what you'll use over the next few weeks. Pay attention to the taste - do you really notice much difference between coffee ground that day vs. 2-4 weeks later?
In addition to a single-cup pour over, some options for coffee making gadgets under $50:
A Bialetti moka pot makes great coffee. (Go to James Hoffman's youtube channel and watch his video on the best way to brew)
Lots of people like the aero-press (James Hoffman has youtube videos for this, too)
French press.
You can make your own cold brew at home pretty easily using a glass container that holds about 8 cups or so. I have a large 8 cup anchor hocking measuring cup with a rubber? silicon? lid that I use.

Moka pot also requires some skills and basically need to train to get consistent results. Also it is hard to serve 2 milk coffees for spouses - one has to work way up cleaning and running that whole thing.
We are probably looking at espresso machine(+burr grinders are freaking expensive) or cheap k pod at this point, as moka pot is too involved and requires dedicated time. Probably it takes 10 mins to get one's coffee.
For grinding, easiest and cleanest is buying pre-ground obviously. Burr grinder is best results but it can get messy. Spin grinding is the cheapest grind, but more time consuming and messy too.
Is this deal possibly expired?

It's best not to walk too far away while moka pot is on the stove.
I do dishes, clean counters, sweep, or do stretching exercises or wall sits while moka pot is on the stove. But, if you were racing around, getting kids ready for school or yourself ready for work, the moka pot might be best left for the weekend.
I have a nespresso single serve I got on a great deal at Target in 2019 ($65 for the coffee maker and the aeroccino). I use the aeroccino daily (store it upside down - it lasts longer - something to do with the magnets).
I rarely use the nespresso single serve any more but will use it occasionally when I'm rushing around - once I tried moka pot and cold brew, I realized I liked those better. Or an occasional pour-over coffee in a melitta pour-over cup. The moka pot is probably the most frequently used, with cold brew in second.
I do not have an aero press although some people swear by them.
