I have this one since 2 years or so. Paid $50 when it went on sale.
Great coffee maker for the price. Mine looks slightly different since this looks to be a newer design.
I recommend.

I like this model better since it has the reservoir. Also had a $15 of $90 coupon so I got one for work and one for home.

k-cups are trash. get yourself a burr coffee grinder + single-cup mr coffee and use good quality coffee beans from a local roaster.

infinitely better coffee and actually cheaper in the long run
1) If you're going to all that effort, a French Press would be much better.

2) Effort, time, counter space, cleaning effort, and cost for people drinking one cup or less daily is also a factor.

K-Cup is the VHS of coffee, Folgers is the Pluto/Tubi of coffee. Betamax/grinding is better, but not as popular for good reasons.

I kind of agree here. I have spent so much money on coffee shit. What do you recommend that is quick and easy? I hate clean up, and long prep.

I agree. I don't think the k-cup machine or capsules are worth it. Some people do.

A decent burr grinder is going to run you at least $150 according to reviews I've read. You don't absolutely need it.
You could have the local roaster grind the beans instead. Buy what you'll use over the next few weeks. Pay attention to the taste - do you really notice much difference between coffee ground that day vs. 2-4 weeks later?

In addition to a single-cup pour over, some options for coffee making gadgets under $50:
A Bialetti moka pot makes great coffee. (Go to James Hoffman's youtube channel and watch his video on the best way to brew)
Lots of people like the aero-press (James Hoffman has youtube videos for this, too)
French press.

You can make your own cold brew at home pretty easily using a glass container that holds about 8 cups or so. I have a large 8 cup anchor hocking measuring cup with a rubber? silicon? lid that I use.

Bialetti is great and we ran it on grounded coffee from reputable local coffee roaster with no issue. Fresh beans and grinding at home was even better - bought 20 dollar grinder from kohls and manage to get the grain size by timing the press of a button to stop at 17-20 seconds (cause 30 seconds recced in the manual is too dusty for bialetti).

Moka pot also requires some skills and basically need to train to get consistent results. Also it is hard to serve 2 milk coffees for spouses - one has to work way up cleaning and running that whole thing.

We are probably looking at espresso machine(+burr grinders are freaking expensive) or cheap k pod at this point, as moka pot is too involved and requires dedicated time. Probably it takes 10 mins to get one's coffee.

Single serve coffee makers that support both ground coffee and k-cups have been the best for fast and easy for me. If you want near zero prep use the k-cup, for a little more effort and typically lower cost you just fill the one cups worth of ground.

For grinding, easiest and cleanest is buying pre-ground obviously. Burr grinder is best results but it can get messy. Spin grinding is the cheapest grind, but more time consuming and messy too.

I'm in for one, thanks OP, reading these threads just for a cup of coffee to go is meh lol, but it's simple math, buy this single K-Cup server and purchase a few plastic K-Cups from Walmart or Target, then purchase whatever grounded coffee from wherever and let this machine do its job, and add your preferred adds, and go!!! Simple

Moka pot does take a little time. Starting with boiling water helps - I use the microwave to boil the water in a mug, so I can walk away while water is heating up in the microwave.

It's best not to walk too far away while moka pot is on the stove.
I do dishes, clean counters, sweep, or do stretching exercises or wall sits while moka pot is on the stove. But, if you were racing around, getting kids ready for school or yourself ready for work, the moka pot might be best left for the weekend.

I have a nespresso single serve I got on a great deal at Target in 2019 ($65 for the coffee maker and the aeroccino). I use the aeroccino daily (store it upside down - it lasts longer - something to do with the magnets).

I rarely use the nespresso single serve any more but will use it occasionally when I'm rushing around - once I tried moka pot and cold brew, I realized I liked those better. Or an occasional pour-over coffee in a melitta pour-over cup. The moka pot is probably the most frequently used, with cold brew in second.

I do not have an aero press although some people swear by them.

According to the comments your not supposed to buy this and actually buy much more expensive coffee machines. What's the point of listing these deals if they keep pushing more expensive machines?
