How much have you done to troubleshoot and get it fixed? Customer service? I have a number of sonos devices and they have still worked flawlessly even after the update. Not everyone is impacted and moreso, not everyone is stuck.
For a different view, I have 10 Sonos devices and never experienced any issues. When they did app redesign, it wasn't great imho, but I never lost any functionality regarding streaming/connection issues.
The app sucking doesn't affect these headphones like their home speakers. Once you set them up, you don't have to use their app to use these headphones.

I have 4K or more of Sonos equipment/paperweights because of that app. It controls everything and is unusable. There is a lot of press about this.
As a service to others - I wouldn't advise buying in to Sonos until/unless it's fixed, and it's been ongoing for >6mo with no fix.

I've never had any issues with my devices either. I know it's a well documented problem, but we're not all suffering from it.

I've read this a lot but don't know what the actual issue is. Do you have a reference to what's going on? I have plenty of Sonos speakers and upgraded to the new app. While it sucks, none of the core functionality changed for me.
I'm a Sonos user and I never had any issues. I know a lot of people have but I also know that things are a lot better than they were six months ago. I have a hard time believing that at this point someone has thousands of dollars of "paperweights" — I just don't believe it.

That guy is just trolling and probably owns a onn soundbar.
I have 30 Sonos devices. The new app has caused me some light trouble - speakers disappear, playback sometimes takes 45 seconds to connect, or says it's playing and I have to skip a song to make it start, songs randomly skip, stereo pairs have one speaker cut out for 10+ seconds, I can play Spotify connect but the app refuses to load Spotify internally, etc. I encounter an issue around 1/10 times I'm playing music. The newest issue, which occurred during thanksgiving while playing soft background - every song in my playlist played twice. Very strange.
I was totally fine and had zero issues until about three months ago and was on the same page with most of you; I believed the app update was totally fine. For reference, I have an Orbi 970 setup and never had a single issue for years even with my previous Nighthawk WiFi. The remedy I've found to be most helpful when the system really acts up is resetting the main breaker. I love my Sonos stuff and was loathe to admit that I was experiencing the issues. I originally believed the root cause was that the old app was better at handling data issues, but even my right side Five hardwired (to the main router) of a pair and my Amp cut out from time to time. I'm sticking with my setup but it's not just inexperienced users, people with weak WiFi, or trolls who are having problems. They exist but I have faith in Sonos and believe they'll fix it.
