for rides you get 6% back. Let's say your airport ride is $100 bucks every 3 months, you'll get $6 bucks back(in uber credit) over those 3 months. Not really worth the price of uber 1. However, this is 1 year of netflix which normally costs $22.99/month for 96 bucks, so it's already more than half off on netflix and uber 1 is a throw in essentially.
You also get some discounts on uber eats...

- Got charged $104
- Uber One account linked to this promo (Uber app shows "managed by Verizon)
- Verizon page claims the account is still pending
- Netflix not linked or linkable
3 (three) hours later on Verizon so-called "customer support" chat (8 agents throwing this hot potato to one another) - Netflix is not linked, the charge is still there but they cannot see it on my account (I suspect it somehow got associated with my long-defunct mobile account), no end in sight.
For what it's worth, a great lesson - well worth $104. I wish my parents drilled it into me more forcefully... ALWAYS SAY NO to:
- A nice stranger offering you a ride in his car.
- A friend offering you drugs "just this one time."
- Verizon offering you a "deal," even if it promises eternal youth and happiness.
The previous one has to expire. Mine expires on December 15th, so I'm not sure if I can get it. Last year I had to call Netflix because I was getting double billed. When I just logged in, it said that I am not eligible for the offer. I will wait and see.
but doesnt seem like Uber One is of any use so will wait till next time when it combos with Paramount+ or something i can actually use

I have to switch to a newer plan and add the $10/mo of +play Perk to be eligible for this deal. Sounds like Max and Netflix (with ads) are already included at baseline.
My main concern is having signed up for Uber One in years past if switching plans I'm still not eligible for this deal but still get Netflix (with ads).
