Costco has the Qi2 version that is compatible with Android phones as well whereas the Amazon version is MagSafe only. I would say that the Costco version is better because of the versatility and Qi2 is as fast as MagSafe on iPhones.

IPhone 16 does 25w wireless charging (this unit is max 15), and you can use Magsafe on Android with a Magsafe case. So this is actually a little weak.

Which location did you see this in store?
Wondering the same thing. I just bought one of these in-store a couple of days ago and it was $59.

No, it actually will not. It will revert to default 5W (maybe 7.5W?) 'standard' Qi charging. Qi2 allows up to 15W for supported phones. Just because you add the magnets doesn't mean you'll get the faster charging rate.
The Qi2 version should be better, because in theory it will be compatible with more devices once they start supporting Qi2. Right now only iPhones and like 1 very weird Android phone support Qi2.
"It won't charge android devices."
"Yes, it will."
"Liar, the charging rate will be lower."
I believe you may have missed part of the thread to which you're replying.

I'm definitely interested in this, but Amazon notes that it's frequently returned so it's probably a low-quality knockoff? Plus some of the reviews mention the charging is really slow. When the Belkin is at full price, the Lisen is probably a great deal. When the Belkin is $60? It's a really really nice device, so the price difference only should come down to what you can reasonably afford.
The Lisen has slow charging for both phone and watch compared to this product.

I have 2 phones. Can I fit a 2nd phone where the AirPod case charges?

Of course it gets hot while it's charging - ~110F isn't going to damage the battery at all. The coil whine (if that's what the noise was) would definitely be a return on my part. Whining could be any number of things including several different components announcing that they will be failing in the not too distant future Wink
I'm also concerned about heat. 110F seems really hot to me. What's your source for what temps are fine for the battery?

you mean for a *charging* battery being charged through electromagnetic induction? Don't confuse charging temp with operating temp.

You have to first understand what is happening inside the battery while it is charging that is causing the heat to begin with. I will leave that up to you to search the details on the chemical reaction taking place with the battery while charging.
However, 110F is fine for a Lithium battery while charging. The battery's life is like organic life - it's dying from the first charge.
In general, anywhere between 0F and 135F is within tolerance for lithium-ion battery. Not to say if your battery is always at 135F is normal - it's not. However, during charging time - it can get hot and 110F is fine.

If your phone/battery is running 110F all the time during (non-charging) operation then that is most likely an issue as that is not normal Wink
