He meant jackstands but his brain can't be funny and factually correct at the same time. Leave that to the professional.

It's a pretty basic jack . For $10 more this is a better jack and deal . https://www.harborfreight.com/3-T..._id=183278

It's got a longer reach and it will lift higher; to almost 20" versus 18" for the $80 jack.

They just extended that $90 Black Friday price just for this week.

I just bought the Daytona low pro jack what's the difference between the Daytona and Pittsburg line. The price is a big difference. Also saw comments about jack stands from harbor freight I just bought some to pair with the jack should I be worried?
Daytona has better wheels, grease fittings, higher lift, and lower-profile access. A 2x4 will add 2" lift to the Pittsburg if needed. Piston seals will leak, so replace them in 15-20 years if needed. Use the jack to lift the vehicle, and jack stands to stabilize it when you crawl under the car.

I wouldn't hesitate to use the Pittsburg in a non-Pro environment.

It's in-store only apparently. Here's a link to the SD thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/17935119-arcan-3-ton-steel-low-profile-floor-jack-100-in-store-only-at-costco

Couple more comparison videos with 3 ton Low-profile jacks to get you more confused.

All kidding aside, this is the lowest these 3 ton Low-profile jacks have been for the past year, so now's the time to buy, IMO.

The 3 ton $90 Pittsburgh sale ends on Sunday, 12/6/24. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-T..._id=183278 ( if you can even still find one).

The Arcan at Costco for $100 is a good deal too, arguably worth it just for the better brand name and the better warranty.

And if you those don't work for you, the Husky at Home Depot for $119 is still a decent deal. If you can find a coupon or other discounts, even better. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-T..._id=183278

$80 is a better value if a low-profile jack is not needed.

Depends on which Daytona jack you purchased.

If it was the Daytona "Snap-on Killer" Super Duty [harborfreight.com] model, then it's obviously better than the Pittsburgh, as reflected in the 3-year warranty, as well as much higher price.

If it was the regular Daytona low-profile 3-ton [harborfreight.com], in actuality, it's not much different than the Pittsburgh [harborfreight.com], in sharing only a 90-day warranty, and being substantially the same, except for some additional gusseting in the frame along the top, and at the rear wheels, a square saddle with a rubber pad, and a choice of color other than gray.

As cited by the OP, this is the comparison video [youtube.com] you should watch, not the one comparing the Super Duty to the Snap-on, unless that is the Daytona model you bought, with obvious differences as a higher range model.

I purchased the Pittsburgh earlier this year, and compared it closely to the relevant Daytona, including looking at the display models at the store, and didn't feel that it was worth the higher price for the minimal difference in bracing, and flimsy rubber saddle pad. They're both rated for 3-tons regardless, and $10 of that difference went back toward buying a saddle pad from Amazon that is beefier and will be much easier to find a replacement for when it wears out.

If a longer warranty makes you more comfortable, the $120 Husky at Home Depot is a black-colored version of the Pittsburgh, with a 1-year warranty, but an extended warranty can also be purchased at HF.

Makes little sense to save $10 on the non-LP Pittsburgh which has a higher minimum height, and a lower maximum height.

In the end, the Daytona line is higher-positioned, but it can't be assumed that there are large differences, because in this instance, comparing the two "regular" 3-ton LP models, there aren't. HF tacitly acknowledges this by granting only the Super Duty models the longer 3-year warranty, while everything else gets 90 days, whether Daytona or Pittsburgh.

Given the public scrutiny over HF's recall for the earlier jack stand models, I wouldn't worry about the current ones, other than to note that there are two different versions of the 3-ton models floating around, and to make sure to get matching pairs if you have more than one pair. There are only so many suppliers for these things, and HF 1) did the right thing by issuing a recall, and refunding owners, and 2) would be stupid to put itself at risk again with more substandard stands.

The split beam is awesome and reliable. After using the cheap $10 torque wrenches that all never clicked when they were supposed to, this split beam has been very good for my needs. The swivel angle makes access much better too.
This is digital vs click style right? Which version(s) do you own? Are external reviews high on these as well (I plan to check but since you already own wanted to ask)? Thank you...

I was curious about the same thing as someone else mentioned. I have a Chevy Tahoe and been considering getting a jack if just to be able to replace my own brakes (I don't really trust myself doing major repairs or like being under the car in general). I've seen a few suggestions and thought about the $90 one, but my local store is sold out. The website says it's available in a nearby town. Whether it would be worth driving there or getting my parents to pick it up for me since they live there. Or just get something else. Also, I didn't think about Jack stands. Any recommendations?

Badlands 12k for like $210. Seems like a good deal for a name brand.
210 is a great deal. Just grabbed one for 250 last sale, still in the box. Think they'll give the difference?

The tops are usually at an angle on welding carts. Wouldn't work well for a 3d printer.

The only one I can think of that may work (dimensions on the HF site) is the Vulcan Welding Cabinet -
SKU's: 63179 or 56741. It's regularly priced at $399.99 though, not cheap. I have the Chicago Electric welding cabinet and it's way to small for what you want.
