While I'd prefer to see 1TB SSD, a USB-c 4.o port, and a brighter screen in a gaming laptop, at this price I'd be willing to overlook those issues. The RAM and SSD both have empty slots, so you can upgrade when the storage and or memory become an issue for you.
The one thing you can't upgrade is the battery life, so make sure that you can live with about 5 hours of non-gaming battery life. Having USB-C charging helps with that as you don't always have to take the power brick with you for charging on the go.

I ordered this today for one of my children but I'm actually worried about the known motherboard failures with Intel gen 13 and 14 HX series processors. Lenovo has had to replace plenty of their LOQ intel motherboards.
Anyone know if a solution has been identified?
Battery is on the smaller side would be the biggest con that I could fine but most gaming is done plugged in.

Most of the people with issues on reddit seem to be from India. Maybe their ambient temperature or local production line is a factor to the hardware failing
