For some reason Chase charges more tax than Costco.
Costco is re-stocked on the ethernet model for $135. It came out to only ~$4 more at Costco with a better return policy.
Bad deal folks. Chase point redemption is best spent at 1.5 cents per point at minimum. We used to get better rewards and flights for more then $0.015 long ago
Not everyone has a premium Chase card that gets them 1.5 cents per point. For someone who only has a Freedom or Ink Cash, they only get 1 cent per point.
Also, you don't have to pay with points, you can get this by paying with your credit card.

Costco is $134.99 for 128gb so this is only 8 bucks cheaper?
Yep, IMO this is lukewarm at best. Costco and other retailers have had this on sale for $99.99 multiple times in the past, and Costco at least has a much better return policy.
Even if you buy it now at the standard non-discounted Costco price of $134.99, you could probably do better if you're an executive member or have CB cards.
I get 4% back on all my online Costco purchases (Executive + Apple Pay), so it's essentially $129.59 + Costco warranty, versus $126.65 through Chase rewards. You could probably do a lot better with your Chase rewards points than saving $3.

Not the cheapest I've seen. Sure a newer one is around the corner. If you are to buy one cause the price isn't bad. Get the 128. It has thread and Ethernet. 100% worth the little extra for the two added options even if you don't need the bigger hd space.
At this point $99 or bust, new models on the horizon they will be $99 again I feel soon after Christmas. Right now is the big push for the holidays, goes cheap then back up, people will buy for gifts when pinched. After holidays what choice is left when the market already purchased what they needed. If this isn't a gift for Christmas then I would wait and spend the money on 10% target gift cards then buy when it goes back down

I m not sure if the new model will have much improvement over this one. The picture is very sharp if you pair it with 4k tv and correct calibration.
The interface is so lean, no bloatware like from firestick. The remote can control your tv and volume.
yes, you just have to look for the flights. there are points search engines (seats dot aero or points dot yeah) now like google flights that show you the points needed, which airline program and which point program (amex, chase etc) to transfer from. I recently got business class seats from SF to Frankfurt for 80k points ea for a $7k flight, thats about 8.75 cents per point. I personally would just use the points for travel. Hyatt is also a pretty good transfer partner at the moment, some of their properties consistently offer 4 cents per point.

When was it for 99?
Are the flights still cheap using points?

Yeah, it started at like midnight PST Black Friday. Was probably an error.
