Was about to pull the trigger, but reviews say they're slippery and can't handle wet rocks, wood, or tile defeating the purpose of waterproof shoes.

It's hard for me to buy footwear from woot given that I have to pay return shipping if it doesn't fit right. Otherwise, I would have ordered a pair by now. Great price.
EDIT: I'm wrong. See reply by AD395 below. Woot does not charge return shipping on shoes.

Fwiw I have 3 pairs of Columbia boots and like the fit HOWEVER they all claim to be waterproof but none are….. this includes walking through wet grass in the morning…… not waterproof.

Thanks, OP! I did *not* catch the 20% Coupon (over to the side on bottom left of page on Woot) when I was looking at these at first. Rookie mistake, I guess. I actually caught your SD post after I placed an order at $50 (still the best price around) and then cancelled my order and re-ordered with the 20% coupon after I saw your post. So, thanks - you saved me $10! I do, however, see that this 20% coupon is expiring at 1 PM EST, today.

One other note - looks like there were a few comments about the fit being a bit tight in some cases and people ordering a half size up. So, if you buy your normal size, you may be fine, but since you often wear these with thicker socks - I went a half size up to an 11 (10.5 in black is not avail, but 10.5 is avail in red/brown).

For shoes, you can return without paying the return shipping fee. See below.

The issue was that the first few places I read reviews (Zappos and Amazon) did not mention the issues above. I thought it would be useful to be able to read the same things that person was reading.
