I know people are going to jump in with their hate toward expensive colognes, but this is the best price I've ever seen for Aventus. We get it, you prefer $12 Amazon scents, and that's perfectly fine, but just as some people buy designer clothes when $3 boxers will do the trick, some people enjoy more expensive scents. Both are fine, stop projecting.

what's your source of this being watered down? Did you test a current and previous version side by side?

I have, and it's 100% watered down. It's also reformulated, way more citrusy and less woodsy/smoky than before.

If you want to know how it used to smell like, buy The Official Club Intense or CDNIM Limited Edition. Not as smoky as my 2011 Aventus, but in the same ballpark.

The new batches only last a hour with over 10 sprays and I have 150 fragrances in my collection.
Not sure what's wrong with current perfumes.
I don't think Costco sells knockoffs, Costco is not Amazon.
But, my last experience was not very good, I bought Tom Ford Oud and though the projection was good, longevity was only 30 mins to an hour very disappointing.
I bought the same Tom Ford Oud some 4 years ago from Costco The longevity was almost 8 hours or more.

Creed was bought by Blackrock and sold to Gucci last year. It's probably isn't like the Creed we knew from a decade ago. Likely watered down or changed to sell cheap to the masses. This should be $130 or less.
This explains a lot if it's true. Creed used to be elusive and their marketing recently is in your face. It's just like any company that gets bought out. Investors want to squeeze every dollar out of their investment and won't think twice to take advantage of a good brand.

The Creed of the past didn't have to sell at a discount retailer such as Costco. You get what you pay for. There is a reason it's this cheap.

Costco is a publicly traded billion dollar company, not like buying cologne from a local close out store or gas station! It is safe to say they are not sourcing from illegitimate sources!
We know Costco is very reputable, and it's most likely authentic. Still good to check it, we have seen strange things with products, when working for 2 major high end retailers who carry fragrance. Happy deal hunting! Creed is an amazing fragrance house with a storied history and a bunch of great options!

Since a traumatic brain injury my sense of smell is pretty well broken, but I've bought a few colognes since in effort to try to "train" my olfactory system back to some form of normalcy. Also I have a problem with buying stuff cause Slickdeals and ADHD. Anyway, I can't attest to how good of a clone Armaf CDNIM is (of Aventus), but I can say that both my estranged wife and her mother kind of lost their minds the first time I wore it around them. If it gets positive attention from the one woman who probably wants the least to do with me (and her mother), I figure it's probably good stuff.

This is not the cheapest at Costco. During Father's day I got it for $170.

Personally I think the quality changed. I bought this a few months back and the scent doesn't last even 3 hrs. The first couple of times I tried this the scent lasted for a good day. So I would air on the side of declining quality.

Glad it worked 🍻. Honestly i would try to load up if I were you.

Note as a lot of people have said, this wears off pretty fast. I'm currently wearing 2 sprays applied about 5 hours ago and it's almost worn off. I paid a bit more for mine from Costco.
I can't load up as local laws allow me to import only one. Regarding it wearing off too quickly, I hope it doesn't, but if it does, worst case scenario I can sell it on our local Craiglist for 300$ and still make a profit 😂

$200 is expensive for cologne. I rather smell natural.

Statistically speaking companies that usually get bought up tend to go towards that path of "enshitification"
You're not wrong, but mature companies also become progressively crappier too such as Google search, Uber, Facebook, and Netflix

The Creed Aventus 3.3oz was $255 for Father's Day at Costco, you may have got a smaller version. https://slickdeals.net/f/17519427-costco-members-fragrances-3-3oz-creed-aventus-eau-de-parfum-254-99-6-7oz-versace-eros-eau-de-toilette-64-99-3-4oz-bvlgari-man-wood-neroli-eau-de-parfum-49-99-via-costco?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse&src=SiteSearchV2Algo

Armaf has their club de nuit intense man usually around $30.
It is a knockoff of this cologne.
Most people say it is exactly like it and also lasts longer.
I have it and love it
Linky as evidence 😀
