Anyone know if this is a good option for an M4 Mac mini? I don't play games and just mainly need it for photo editing and office work.

If you mean the G-sync module it's effectively dead. And even if they make a comeback, they won't be $150.

Are there any noticable comparisons between this and the G2724D to choosing one over the other? Seems the 24D has better reviews but also obviously been available longer

This one seems to be missing quite a bit from the 2724 model (no G-Sync, no FreeSync Premium, no adjustable stand). Feels like costs were cut.

I got the 2724D in November for the same price except I used the 10% off for signing up for emails and in that email they sent a $15 for joining dell rewards and filling out a survey. It was $130 shipped. The monitor looks great to me. I haven't noticed any issues that others have said.

Imo this monitor shouldn't exist the older and still available 2724d is better in reviews and specs and often goes on sale for 149-179 frequently.

Can someone explain why displayport 1.4 standard from 2016 is so often used as opposed to 2.0 which dropped in 2019 or 2.1 which dropped in 2022? Is it that cost effective to use that old of a standard?

2724d is actually 149 on Dell right now. Then some cashback here and there will bring it to like 130 ish and it is eligible for education discount to being it to 135 before cash backs.
