Holy wow I'm pissed. I bought this computer last week because it was a good deal, and now it's on sale even more (maybe because of all the buyers complaining about the SSD BSOD issue)! Now this is a bonafide steal for a prebuilt. Of course, Walmart is refusing to partially refund me per their policy which sucks. Guess I'll have to reset/repackage/return/reorder.

Anyways, here's my post from the other thread that can help people that are worried about the SSD BSOD issue (check your SSD first to make sure you have the faulty Western Digital one - otherwise this guide is pointless for you):

"Here's the configuration I got:

Motherboard: MSI Pro B650 VC - Wifi
GPU: XFX 7900GRE
RAM: T-Force Vulcan 2x16GB DDR5
Cooling: Hybrid AIO CyberpowerPC branded cooling system. CPU is liquid cooled, but the case also has RGB fans around the exterior too. Fans are soft to moderately loud. When on full blast they sound like a softish white noise machine, which I actually kind of liked.
Hard Drive: Western Digital (WD) Blue SN580 2TB SSD
PSU: Didn't bother checking. It works. Maybe I'll bother unscrewing the cover and checking later.

Noted that the GPU was sagging in the slot so I had to order a $10 GPU support brace to prevent any excess warping (it's a big GPU).

Super easy to dodge the SSD crashing issue. I booted up the computer and set up Windows 11 without connecting to the internet. You can also gamble on setting up W11 with internet if you want. (sounds like some people have had success, others haven't) Here's a quick guide on how to do that:

1: When you reach the setup portion asking for internet, you can press SHIFT+F10 keys to open Command Prompt.
2: Execute OOBE\BYPASSNRO command in the Command Prompt.
3: After executing this command, Microsoft setup will reboot the computer. After the reboot, you'll get a new button option on the same part of the setup asking about connecting that says I don't have Internet or Continue with limited setup to skip the Internet requirement (it's in small text that's hard to see because Microsoft wants your sweet sweet data). This will allow you to set up the computer with a local ID and password without needing a Microsoft account, and complete the install without connecting to the internet.

That let me set up Windows 11 without internet, likely on the software version that CyberpowerPC set up the computer on that convinced them the computer was good to ship. I had no crashing.

At this point, you could connect to the internet and try to grab the WD SSD firmware update before your computer updates Windows and/or crashes. Of course WD have their own dumb launcher/hub just like every other tech company, so you'll need to grab that to update the hard drive. Here's the link to that (creds to cardcrush on an earlier post on this thread): https://support-en.wd.com/app/ans...l#subject3

You can get the online version if you're connected to the internet, otherwise use another computer to download the offline version to a USB. Copy it to your new computer, install it. Open it up, give it a bit of time to scan your computer (it might look like it freezes for a bit). Then once it recognizes your SSD, an option should pop up under one of the various tabs/menus in the WD hub notifying you that there's an update available. I can't remember if I had to be connected to the internet (I don't think I had to be, since I used the offline install hub). Took a few seconds to update to a newer firmware version, and that was that.

The whole process took me like 10 minutes to do. After that I updated Windows and got all the other various driver/security updates installed (only thing I didn't update to was the newest Windows 24H2 preview - but I think the problem with the SSD became an issue before that was released). Been using the computer intermittently the last two days. No issues with crashing. Only game I've tested atm is Marvel Rivals at 1440p (runs fine on high settings with no issues). Glad Walmart is accepting returns until January 31st at least!

Hope this helps! I'll update this post if things change."
I was one of the people having the BSOD problem. For what it's worth, I emailed Cyberpower about it and they very promptly confirmed it should be addressed with the firmware upgrade and provided instructions, which I did and have not had a problem with it since then. Honestly I went from super frustrated to pretty pleased with it. If I could do it all again at $200 less and knowing up front what the exact problem was going to be and how to fix it, it would be a no-brainer purchase.

This is a great deal for the parts included , just got one.

I am replacing another Cyberpower PC with an i7 10th gen and RTX 3070 which I have had since early 2022. This one came with an Apevia 750 watt PS. I have had no problems at all.

For those getting their orders cancelled. Try using PayPal.

I think ima just keep it. This comes out to $1093 after tax. For mines I paid $1190, so a little under $100. I would definitely change the PSU and I honestly don't like having my case plastered in the cyber power logo lol. I guess I'll stay
I have a very similar build with yours and I will keep my parts and build myself also. I just don't like the case and fans of this deal.

Just buy a wifi 6e card for like $20? Unless you need the extra pci-e slot for some reason.

Nope no reason I couldn't do that. Just weird it didn't come as WiFi 6. It's not a full size board but should have room to squeeze in one below the GPU.

I'm not sure if the item is OOS but my order keeps getting cancelled immediately after ordering. I've order prior things using my Walmart account without issues. I've tried using CC directly and Paypal but no avail. Has anyone been able to order this morning?

You'll need to contact customer service. When purchasing high priced items, Walmart may flag you for suspicious fraud.

Yup. You were completely right. I called them and they had to take a security block so that I can reorder in an hour. Thanks!

I bought this for my 14 year old's Christmas gift:

Is this Walmart deal significantly better? My son is a little rough on electronics so I like the Costco 2 year warranty.

The i7 14th gen (in Costco PC) has had a bad rep due to issues. Might be a gamble if the one you get has issues. The 4060 is slower than the 7900GRE in this PC. I would recommend this one as very the Costco one.

CapitalOne Shopping sends out emails with 10% off Walmart up to $250Sign up for CapitalOne Shopping, install their browser extension, go to walmart and add this pc in your cart and then wait for up to 24 hours and you should get an email. Flip side is that the PC may go out of stock if you wait.
Did you get the 10% cash back offer on yours? I didn't for mine, on the extension though I have an option to activate 10% cashback though. Does that work?
