Thinkpad is definitely better but Yoga is very solid in this segment. I have 3 of these units for my business (only 1 with this gen processor) and they are holding up well. For this price it will be almost impossible to find something with this overall quality and specs.

Just tell them the truth - bought an open box at best buy and the warranty says 9 months. Ask them to reset.

The 1200 aspect ratio is not noticeably better and the cpu and gpu differences alone are massive here and should be the main consideration. I've dealt with both laptops and the build quality and material is pretty similar, both are efficient machines

And I purchased a 'fair' open box Asus laptop two weeks ago that was perfect… with all accessories… even had the pull off plastic over the trackpad… and in the original perfect box as well. Seems hit or miss for sure.
