This looks like it has usb micro input. I see another model online with usb c. Is this an older model?

I have the OG party box 100 and it's hands down my favorite speaker. I take it to the beach, house parties, softball games and it never disappoints. I ordered this Hyperboom since I have a few megabooms and, apparently, can link them all up. Based on the reviews, I think the JBL has a better battery and is louder

The micro-usb port says "Service" on it so I believe it only charges with a barrel plug/connector.

that what i saw but then some pics online show a usb-c port suggesting there is a dif/newer model with same name?

Yeah looks like there's a refresh with USB-C - I didn't see any "news" releases for it though and it's $370 at all retailers.
