No app offered/necessary and therefore no fee. Cheaper when on sale/cheaper base price. 2 remotes. Assume no battery draw when not in use as is an issue with this listed one.

Amazing, been waiting for this model with the drone lte module for a while. Thanks for posting!

Also, when checking out make sure you do it through a location that offers the installation. When you pick your location when checking out there should be an installation package added that includes the wiring kit for your car make and have you set a time for the appointment. The earliest for me is January 3rd.

These do drain the battery in the winter. I have had this installed on my wrangler for years, but in the winter it will pull you below 12 volts in 2 days on a new battery.

But it does work great.

If I am going to use the Mobile to start without the key fob , will that work. Hate to carry two keys in my tiny pocket. Mostly I will use it for warming up or cooling the car 5 min before I enter the car. Anyway I will carry the original key fob to actually drive the car
Yes, you can use the mobile app to start the car, or the provided keyfob, or sounds like even your existing car's own keyfob is possible. The app requires a subscription given it uses LTE to connect to a cellular provider which is why the Drone Mobile module is included in the kit.

I provided the link to DroneMobile pricing above, but not sure why someone downvoted it. Was that not correct or just a downvote to paying; we'll never know with the mute downvoters.

I have one of these plus the security module on my Tacoma, they're great and convenient! Nice to be able to remotely monitor my battery voltage and confirm whether I locked the doors.

I only carry my OEM fob,Drone Mobile works the other ~99% of the time. The OEM fob is capable of disarming and arming the system with my truck.
The only times I carry the alarm fob with me are when I'm anticipating ill have no celluar service or places like movie theaters where i'll have my phone muted.

I have this but don't drive my car often enough. Is there a way to temporarily turn it off so my car battery doesn't drain
I had to get a battery tender to solve this problem

Is the app subscription mandatory?

Anyone else find it annoying that a lot of these links lately from sd ask you to download the sites app...and when you click no, go to website... there's a delay. Sd loses their commission from me every time it happens

Something is wrong with your car or install. These use very little power. Maybe it's just a jeep thing? 😛

You can ask the installers to program your factory fob to start it. They should be able to do it.
Sort of…. This will only work within the very short range of your car's fob. The major benefit of the remote start fob is that it'll work from 3000ft away.

Dumb question: can you use this as an actual key or do I need to plug in my key to drive the car. I have 2016 Corolla and actual physical key (not fob)
You need to plug in your key to drive. It starts the car and will stay on for 15 to 25 mins. Once started via remote, if you do not put the key in and touch the brake, the car turns off.

Do I HAVE to have a subscription to use this? Can I use the key fob that came with it and program my OEM key fob to work with it and that's it? Also, is it transferable to another car if I decide to sell mine?

Personally I prefer the systems that work with the factory fob simply because I hate having two dogs on my keychain.
