I got one on a previous deal. I like it. It's not perfect but it's far preferable over a weed eater attachment. Plenty powerful and easy enough to use.

We have ~200ft of sidewalk in a house we recently bought. I edged that for the first time on both sides and was done in a little over an hour, including figuring out how to use the machine. It goes pretty quick once you get into a flow and are sure to clean it out frequently enough.
Worth it for the battery alone.

Is there a way to get a discount on Home Depot ? I need to order vinyl flooring ( around $2500 total value)?

Similar experience here. Neighbor told me it looked great. Got the hang of it pretty quickly and then I was ripping.

Reviews at Home Depot not very good and many report it to be flimsy and cheaply built

It does feel a little flimsy, but it's been fine. It's meant to dig a tiny trench, not be the frame for a truck. It might not be for you if you feel that's a problem, but it's been good for my uses so far with my ~200ft of sidewalk.
