i bought 2 pairs a while back hoping they would be the replacement for the speed ultra. they are NOT. now i dont know how to get rid of them.
size is also bigger than other adidas shoes. WTF.. why would the same company make shoes of same size different? makes no sense.
the one i ran on had rubbing on the upper but thats because of the tag inside which can be cut off.
but overall. these are bad. from $160 to around $50. theres a good reason for it. i had to stock up on the remaining speed ultras out there.

Personally, I'm not bothering with trail shoes anymore. I have a few pairs of Saucony Endo Rifts which I regret loading up on. That's the last trail shoe for me. Road shoes have better geometries, midsoles, uppers, and most can handle the typical trail or fire road. For routes that feature both road and trail a road shoe provides the best overall experience.

But you highlighted everything wrong with Adidas trail. They work for the elite top end, but really are not worth it for the average joe trail runner. Tom Evan's was running in the Boston 12s so adidas created the agravic speed for him…but they bombed.
