Mine came in yesterday. It's really zippy and fast. I've heard that some of them come with backlight lit remote controls but mine didn't. If you've just got a basic streamer device definitely get this. It's a great deal.

YMMV how useful this is, a lot of variables but hard to deny it's a good deal... I think the app store leaves a lot to be desired for Android TV. However this is the first remote that acts like a cable tv tuner on my Youtube TV app. Tight integration with Google free channels. Maybe my Sony OLED with android TV also helps. Fast and it can change the channels with the up and down button

The same item on Amazon for $10 less!

Horrible comment. This is not the same thing and it's actually $10 overpriced from MSRP. The official retailer is Walmart do not buy this item on Amazon.

This has such good reviews, but right out of the box, there's a noticeable audio lag on all apps. Has anyone else noticed that? Can't find anyone else complaining, about it, which is driving me mad. Didn't happen with my previous streaming box.
Issue is likely with your TV or audio system.

In for one, getting real tired of my Fire sticks running out of storage. 10/100 ethernet is a puzzling choice though since gigabit's been the norm for many years, I imagine 100mbps will barely be adequate for 4K streaming.
4k HDR 120 fps takes up like 10-15 mpbs. Regular 4k takes up like 5-10 mpbs. They are compress as hell. 100 mpbs is MORE than enough for 4k streaming.

I have several of these running to different sets and don't have any lag issue. They run about as good as any google streamer I've used so long as they have a good wifi connection.

Some apps can do that while they are buffering, but it should only be for a bit until it stabilizes. If it's always happening and always similar on all apps then maybe it's in the tv, possibly your tv has high latency in certain resolution and video modes and you weren't using them before with the old box.

Not sure if posted higher up, but this will do Doby Atmos MAT but not Dolby Atmos over TrueHD. Even with pass-through set, it won't send the signal to the AVR or soundbar

What is the jail breaking potential for this since it runs on Google OS? My JB FireStick is laggy and I'm looking for another inexpensive option.
A lot of potential in this

There is no such thing as jailbreaking a stock Android or Android TV setup. This is an Apple mentality where you can't do what you want with your own device. You can sideload on any Android system without hoops or hacking.

Anyone interested in this. It can run a lot smoother with a third party launcher ad free such as wolf launcher. You can get it to become the main launcher by using the app Launcher Manager. No root needed. It is smooth and also FREE

Not for local 4k uncompressed BRRips, it's not.

To me, jailbreaking means I could run lineage, without having to run a google bloated/spywared OS. It isn't just about adding more apps.

The original 2021 ONN box that can't be found anywhere anymore could run lineage, but to my knowledge none of the models since.

Yeah, I've got one from 2021 running LOS pretty good. Tried A15 but it was buggy so went back down to A14 and it's working well.
