I tried them because my small beach house in Florida had a smell. After a week of running it on high the purifier got rid of the smell. 500sf house
I don't know about this square one but I am a huge fan of the levoit air purifiers, I bought from amazon for like $75 each and $300 for the big one, not a slickdeal but the air quality is worth it.
I guess good for a kitchen setting.
Thanks OP, great price!

What have your experience has been with Walmart protection plans?
This is a common thread among tons of electronics, especially TVs. There's no real rhyme or reason to avoiding capacitor failure, as they're pretty much sacrificial components. And since they're pretty much all the same, it's not like a name brand device is any more immune than a less expensive one.
Luckily, they cost about 10 cents each and are easy to replace. They even have a visual indicator to tell you they're bad.
It's definitely a good skill to learn.

In my experience with many WM warranties, they just cut a check and don't ask many questions. I've never had a hassle out of them

Which brands to look for with the expectation of long service life and low cost over the life of the device when replacing filters, that is not a DIY constructed device?
Especially with standardized filter sizing? VS specialized and locked into a brand because of slightly different geometry?
