The Dell G2724D is decent for console gaming. Although it lacks HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and can't take full advantage of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, it still supports most signals with both consoles, including VRR which reduces screen tearing. It has low input lag that makes gaming feel responsive, and motion looks sharp thanks to its fast response time, but there's still some motion blur. Unfortunately, games don't look life-like and realistic as the monitor has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray, and colors aren't vivid, especially in HDR.

They said about the and gave it a 7.4/10 for console gaming... [rtings.com]
The AOC Q27G3XMN is decent for console gaming. Although it can't take full advantage of the Xbox Series X|S or the PS5 due to its 1440p resolution and lack of HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, it still provides a great gaming experience. It has a fast response time and low input lag at 120Hz and 60Hz, providing a smooth feel. It also offers good picture quality whether you're gaming in HDR or SDR, thanks to its high contrast for deep blacks, and it gets bright enough to fight glare in well-lit rooms.
I'm in analysis paralysis over these monitors. Anyone have opinions between this Dell, the HP Omen 27 (https://a.co/d/f1Hq2Xg), and the LG UltraGear (https://www.ebay.com/itm/387714587633 )? For PC gaming.
The general consensus is that the G2725D has a worse panel. I'd go 2724 between the two.

Does anyone know of a good deal on a 22 inch monitor?
22 is a bit small nowadays.
Most are at least 24.

Looks fine on the M2 with TB to DP. I can set it to 165hz at 1440p. Hope this helps as the m4 mini should be similar.
Thank you!

What's everyone's take on the dell vs 27" Cooler Master GP2711? Debating between these two right now.

most people who get this monitor in the past year or so agree the quality is not up to the initial rtings review. there were some speculations that the panel has been swapped, but a couple people have opened up and confirmed it's the same panel, so it appears rtings just got a golden review monitor. most common complaints are - brightness and contrast not up to rtings reports, green/blue tint, and excessive ips glow/backlight bleed.
i got one for cyber monday and mine lucked out with contrast/brightness, but unfortunately suffers from a bit more ips glow than i'd like, and a definite green tint to the screen. the tint can be corrected with calibration. the ips glow i'm stuck with. still at 120 bucks after coupons i can't complain too much.

I can corroborate this issue! I recently purchased the monitor above myself and it had an absolutely scuffed up box the first time and I didn't think much off it but the screen had a single annoying dead pixel in the center. So I ordered another one with plans to return the first and the second one had a box that looked much better with only a single piece of factory tape while the previous had been taped in multiple places that made it obvious it was a return after comparing.
Amazon does the same thing. If you get a box with an LPxxxxxx barcode sticker then its likely a return that was sold as "new".

This is an insane monitor at a great price. The 32 inch version has been my daily driver for work and gaming. Great software features too.
Also used a SpyderXElite to measure and calibrate, reported 94% P3 and 89% Adobe RGB coverage.

Is there another way to verify if one receive a good panel besides looking at brightness/screen bleed/tint ? Like a model number or series number ?

I returned one a couple weeks back the back light bleed took up almost half the screen in a solid black setting. The monitor did look amazing while gaming on the newest Black Ops.

I have a MSI G274QPF 27" and there is no back light bleed but it is not as sharp and crisp as the Dell was.

This monitor's color is little yellowish. How do I make it more whitish like my old monitor?

I've owned this monitor for almost 5 years now and it's worked flawlessly for my 3080.

What I like about this compared to the others even years ago. The IPS display is good! For school, work, games the display is honestly better than most $500-700 monitors I've used.

G sync works flawlessly and the ghosting is GOOD. It's easily mountable and I loved this monitor so much I even bought the 1080p version of the same model for a clean look for dual display setup.

If you're interested in 1440P gaming and can power it, I'd recommended this monitor at $300 and I recommend this at $150. Absolute steal.

In for another one as a backup yolo
Hi, can you share your settings? Mine is little yellowish even at 75 brightness.

Even the full price is pretty cheap for these specs, is there any obvious con?
No height adjustment or swing. Base is big. Hard for limited space tables. Other than that, no faults with display. I returned it only because of space limitations.
