Made in Japan - Gotoh Hardware and Custom Bare Knuckle Pickups. Caramelized Maple Neck and basswood body (read light), Jumbo stainless steel polished frets, graphtech nut, locking gotoh tuners, gotoh tremolo bridge (arguably the best in the business). Jackson soft shell case (I now prefer these to the wooden ones that take up so much room)

The seller is well known on Slickdeals and puts out crazy deals like this every so often. No idea how many they have in stock.

Thanks OP. I got one. I had my eye on a Japanese made Ibanez AZ2204N (I have another Ibanez AZ I love but wanted an HSS configuration), but this has all the features in that I like and then some. Thanks again.

Gigbag lololol. I'm sure this is a fine instrument but you're close to Fender American territory on reverb.

Being a humble owner of every level of fender except the custom shop I can tell you from my research that since its launch in 2021 this guitar has never come down below 1,9k used. I can find used Ultra Luxes all day long in 1200 - 1600 range. Not sure why its that way or for that matter of fact why and Adam Jones LP hardly ever comes on sale or a Suhr has no B-Stock but this guitar is falling into that category.

I got mine today as well. OMG is the term I can use to best describe it. Clearly the best fender I have ever owned. Fender owns Charvel for those who might not know. It's light (6 lbish) and it growls or chimes depending on where the volume knob is. The bends are silky. My love hate relationship with jumbo stainless frets (forever frets) still applies though. The build quality is phenomenal. Can't compare it to my Ultra Luxe as I don't really feel like reaching out for it because of weight which is purely subjective.

This is truly a masterpiece and I get what all the fuss around it never being discounted steeply. I wonder where FGW gets all these deals. They are quickly running ProAudioStar and Adorama out of the higher end guitar market with these kind of deals.

Did you also feel that you got an empty case before you opened it ? I couldn't believe there was a guitar in that case until I opened it.

I think this models light weight is a mix of it being kind of a small body, and the fact that its made of basswood.

It has incredible balance as well. I just played it for a few hours without a strap. What a joy to not have the weight shifting around.
