From what I hear it's a faithful remake of the original and I assume it'll have that old school dark vibe and no hand holding

Played the original and I loved it even with all it's flaws. It's similar to the Bioshock series.

Yeah but I hear controls don't really translate well onto console. Reviews said it's pretty faithful to the original, which is a good and bad thing at times.

Yeah, I played it, came back to it a few weeks later because life got in the way... And it's useless. No idea where I was and what I was doing. Faithful isn't always good

It actually got quite a bit of buzz when it came out. It got good reviews across the board. People do say older games like this are a little more challenging than what gamers are used to today there's not as much handholding.
