I did this to my A15 and it's much faster, YMMV.

kind of, multi step process, step 5 is what you want but you need to do steps 1 to 4 first or it does not work.

1) the device is preloaded with this plan and it can not be transferred (unless you do those future steps
2) even though the device is preloaded it is not activated, you have to activate it via the red card and calling a number or doing the online chat
3) during the activation if you are already a tracphone customer you can stack it with existing tracfone service
3b) or get a new phone number
3c) or transfer your existing phone number via a competitor like mint mobile, the big three (at&t, verizon, t-mobile), or another MVNO
4) once the device is activated your 1 year is counting down (or more than one year if you are a rollover customer with existing tracfone service like previous deals. For example my tracfone services goes until feb 2027 for I have bought previous deals, each new phone had 1 year of service plus data so somehow I got from 2025 to 2026 to 2027 via buying like 3 plus phones over the years for me and my family members, unlocking them and giving them to relatives post the 60 days unlock window)

5) if you want to use this tracfone service with a different phone, you need to buy a $1 to $5 sim at walmart, target, family dollar, dollar general etc other places. This type of sim is called "Tracfone Bring Your Own Phone SIM Kit, No Airtime - Prepaid". You put this sim card in your google pixel phone (or other phone) and then follow the red card which is going to do steps 1 to 4 with your new phone, this in turn transfers your service from the motorola phone to your pixel phone. In theory your motorola should be unlocked in 60 days since it was activated and it just needs to talk to the tracfone / motorola servers. Newer phones use unlock servers similar to iphones for several years now. Some 2023 and earlier android phones do not automatically unlock via wifi after activation with step 4, you had to have service still on the device and then use a tracfone email portal to request an unlock code you enter manually via the number pad.

Any questions ?

Samsung A15 5G has better screen (Super AMOLED FullHD vs LCD HD), faster charging speed (25W vs 18W), longer support (4 years of Android update and 5 years of security update vs only 1 Android update and 3 years of security update)

Moto G 5G 2024 has smoother screen (120Hz vs 90Hz), stereo speaker, Snapdragon 4 gen 1 is slightly better than Dimensity 6100+ and Moto My UX is basically stock Android

I combined 2x unlimited talk/text + 24GB plans though.Blu View Speed 5G on Feb 2024 (original expiration Feb 2025)Samsung Galaxy A15 on Nov 2024Expiration is currently showing as Feb 2026. I guess I'll have to check if my calls/texts get cut off on Nov 2025 or if the service period for unlimited talk/text is actually extended to Feb 2026.
Question! When you stacked 2 unlimited 1-yr 24gb plans, did your data also got added by 24gb to the old one or reset to a total of 24gb with just increasing the expiry date by 1 year?

Added. I have 42GB total now, iirc (already used some data).

Correct - Don't know why there's even a question, adding another yr plan adds to whatever balance you currently have - that's the way it's worked for years.

How is the Moto G 5G compared to the A25? There's an a25 deal on QVC for $179, worth $100 more?

Interesting! Last time when I stacked a 24gb plan on a 24gb...I lost the data from old plan and reset to a total of 24gb with expiration set to remaining plus one year. Must have done something wrong in the transfer process

Please advice:

I have activated the QVC yearly unlimited talk text 24GB Samsung A15 a few weeks back. Now I like to buy this one and combine both the plans for a total of 2 years.

I do intend to keep my original phone, its number and plan. What's the best way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance
After 2 months, actived A15 gets unlocked, then combines both plans, then sells the A15 on eBay.

Just be advised Tracfone Samsungs won't work on AT&T and doesn't have all the 5G bands unlocked for T-Mobile so not really unlocked for any carrier even after 60 days.

Thanks for your response. The way I was planning to do it was:

1. Activate the new phone along with plan by keeping existing number so both plans are combined
2. 24 hrs wait and then reactivating the older phone that was deactivated.

With the above process maybe the new Samsung wont get unlocked. But again that's speculation on my side. I don't know for sure.

This comment title from Reddit, follow step by step. I have done myself and it was so easy. Even comment include screen shots as well. "Guide to transfer existing service to a Tracfone-branded device (keep phone number)" Bought 2 cheap flip phones for $40 and extended 2 more years. Then later bought A14 when was on sale for $40 and extended one more year. Now I'm keeping the A14 while until good deal come up. I have trade-in the first old 2021 Moto phone to Visible (Free new iPhone 13 and year service for $395 deal) and got $100 credit. I had T-Mobile service for more than 12 years and nothing has been improved. Service is worse than before. Could be after T-Mobile offered wireless home internet. No more T-Mobile.

I bought the A15 deal free weeks ago.
Keep in mind that TRACFONE has no Wi-Fi hotspot feature on this plan.

They also downgraded my plan to 1GB when I moved service over my old phone.

Even with a new SIM kit if you switch the SIM to a different phone, it won't work

Not sure what you mean by "They also downgraded my plan to 1GB when I moved service over my old phone".
A15 came with 24 GB service, when I moved my A15 to a different phone (by activating a new BYOP sim) the plan moved to the new phone, just like always.

Yeah, that's what I thought would happen but I went to my account page and it shows 1 GB of data.

I spoke to customer service and they say there is no 24 GB plan.

You just got an uninformed rep. They still have people that think unlock is 12 months instead of 60 days so I'm not surprised.
Call again & tell rep it's a service bundle included with phone.
Does your plan show unlimited T/T and correct service time? When did you do the new activation?

Service period is not the same as "unlimited calls/text period". I have 1100 days on my service period because I added two "1500min/text and 1.5GB data" annual plans to my account. That doesn't mean 1100 days of unlimited. It means once my unlimited runs out, my 3000 min/text and remaining data won't expire for 1000 days. In your case, that would pertain to the data allotment.
I think they might have just changed the policy. In the past, when I stacked an Unlimited Plan on top of a current unlimited plan, there were 2 expiration dates, 1 for the unlimited plan (which got reset) and 1 for service period. Recently, upon checking on the website, there's just 1 expiration date, which means they probably matched the date of the unlimited plan with the service period and we could "possibly" stack unlimited plans from now on.
