I've never held one of these but it's pretty impressive that 8Bitdo are able to get hall-effect sensors into a $25 product but the big two can't do it for $60+.

This has Bluetooth too, but this controller 2.4 is one of the lowest latency products out there, easily best bang for buck

weird, for me i just had to double check it was on 2.4g switch. plugged in the dongle and then just turned on controller and it paired

Does the adapter only support one controller? (I.e. you need 4 adapters for 4 controllers)

Yup that's how they work. Get Bluetooth 8bitdos if you don't want each controller to hog a USB port. These controllers are great multiplayer with emulators. We play 4player GameCube rendered in 4k with them.

I CANNOT get this stupid pos to pair to the dongle no matter what I do. You'd think it'd be the most simple pairing process possible being a 2.4ghz, but it seriously just won't work in any device I try. Did all the firmware updates. No dice.

Just got this in the mail today. Quality is great for the price but it does feel like a toy when compared to a PS5 or XBOX first party controller. I love that its bluetooth and 2.4 though. Makes using it a breeze.

Got one a week or two ago, it's smaller than an Xbox controller but still feels good. Haven't used the R4/L4 button yet but just treating it like a normal one and it's plays great. Very happy with it considering the joysticks and buttons do all feel better and the built in battery lasts forever.

I have this and an Xbox controller. Xbox controller is easier to connect to PC (which is what I used it for). Once everything is connected and working, there's not many issues and it's pretty much the same.

There are probably some small differences as far as performance goes, but I didn't notice any.

The difference for me was that the Xbox controller did feel more solid and heavier, and it fit my bigger hands more comfortably. This 8bit is $30 or less though.

So I would say if your hands are smaller or just want to save money, then 8bit is the way to go. If your hands are bigger, then Xbox controller is the way to go if you don't mind spending more.

In your case and mine, it's not a bad backup at all.
