I have this set, it's fantastic. The image quality is impressive and the discs provide you with the ability to watch the series with most of the original effects or with the new effects.

Might be a dying format. But players will be around for decades as there are so many of them. Just like record players.
And you can hand it down to someone else later or sell it. Digital is good sometimes but can't hand it down later or it could become not available to stream at some point.
The special features in this set is worth double the cost of the set.
