perfect. I cant stand 120hz as it makes movies look like 90s teledrama. I disable that crap feature and its usually hidden in the menus

You're mixing refresh rate capability with motion interpolation. This might be a fine TV, but a lot of people appreciate being able to quickly find the refresh rate without digging for it.

My parents got this TV. I said there are better picture quality sets with local dimming available from Hisense and TCL for a little more, but they didn't care and wanted the "Name Brand" LG or Samsung. Anyway, I set the TV up for them, and they're happy with the picture quality. It's decent enough for 99% of the population or non-TV-philes. The only issue I had was the menu responsive is slow. I press a button on the remote and it takes like 5 seconds to respond sometimes.

which sets from TCL and Hisense are better? I'm not challenging you, just asking. I've been shopping and Rtings shows several recommendations

65" Hisense U6 was on sale for $409 and has local dimming. TCL Q7 was as low as $500 and also has local dimming.

That doesn't have anything to do with the refresh rate.
