I signed up. Received the 10% code by email. But when I try to apply it to my order for two shows, I get the message:

"Promotions not applied"

Because even at $50 they can make a profit on them. They are cheap to make and ship since they are all synthetic with low weight.

I had a friend who worked for a shoe etailer. He said they never paid more than $20 for any shoe wholesale.

If he gets them from China where they are sourced won't be more than 10 dollars a pair

Ah. It seems that the 10% off coupon can be applied to only one color that is linked with this deal. Wheat Knit. Some other colors are $50, but do have a message that says:

"Excluded from all promotional discounts and offers"

They launched with only the 6" boot. It was after Sydney and under Jeff Swartz that the line increased to shoes that wouldn't be classified as boots, so 1998 or later, but definitely before VF bought them out in 2011.
