Anyone know if the online version can import from the desktop version? If I start a return with the desktop version, can I later import it to the online version?

There is limited functionality for this according to the website:

But the desktop version is clearly better. You just have to work on it from a single PC (or I suppose you could install on more than one and move the file around).

Another factor that generates steady income for Fidelity is trading volume...even with one cent per share.

Not sure exactly what defines an Intuit Order Channel, but clearly ordering from Intel itself (via Fidelity link) qualifies. Great deal too. $52 for Deluxe less $20 Amex plus tax is as good as you're going to get this year (I believe).

Just got the $20 Chase credit on the discounted (Fidelity non-customer) purchase. Brings the total to $32.50 for the Deluxe version. While I've often gotten a bit better pricing in the past, I was tired of waiting on something that may or may not be cheaper this year, and it's still the best price out there now, and only a few dollars more than I had gotten in prior years (usually around end of Jan, beginning of February). I know some people were disputing whether the Fidelity link would trigger the Chase discount, but I can confirm it does as Chase emailed me saying it was credited.

My parents have Fidelity actively managing their IRA accounts with over $1M in assets, using their dedicated financial advisor services and paying like 80-something BPs, equating to over $10k/year in fees, before ERs, and they still don't get the free Turbo Tax. I told my dad he should tell his advisor to pull some strings or he's taking his money elsewhere.
