Have posted this before but my landlord at our previous townhome installed a similar glacier bay faucet. After about 1 year of use I would hear a slight hissing sound when off but the faucet had no dripping. Found out that the faucet was leaking in the cabinet before. Became a mold issue. The cartridge was defective.

The new management company that took over had a maintenance guy and he commented on how he's had another glacier bay faucet do the same. Installed an American Standard and we had no issues for the 2 years we were there.

All in all the $70 you save now will cost you in the future. Stick with brands like Delta, Moen, Grohe. If you really can't afford it look on Amazon Warehouse. Our home I found a $450 Hansgrohe faucet for $70 in Like New condition

This has overall pretty decent reviews on Home Depot and Amazon, so just how junky can it be, and at this price seems like a pretty great value.

Nice deal. The polished chrome version is even a bit cheaper at $34.97.

So what's a good brand at this price point? Care to offer anything besides calling something "junk" with zero context?

Thank OP for the post.

Great price, I just paid like $160 for a Moen and replaced my kitchen faucet. I wouldn't say it is 4x better than this. I guess you are mostly paying for durability and support. Moen will gladly send you repair parts for free should if you ever need them.

I would suggest avoiding Glacier Bay, they're home depot's house brand.
The last time I had to find a replacement part for an old glacier bay faucet, home depot stopped selling that part and it wasn't even on Amazon. I went to plumbing supplies stores where I learned that the brand was home depot's brand.
I ended up finding it on a random online plumbing supply store and I even bought an extra to try to avoid this hassle again.
My suggestion: buy a brand that's sold everywhere so that you can find parts much more easily in the future.

If you buy CHEAPEST and save a little money up front, you could lose a TON more fixing your house from a leak...

I bought this 3 years ago for my main bathroom bc at this price it was cheaper than a bathroom faucet at the time. The height, swivel, and pull down features have been a great benefit to a bathroom sink. 0 issues so far.

(Note: the swivel can swivel outside the sinks limits both in kitchen and bath installs, so those with young kids just a heads up, might be better to get something fixed or with less swivel ability)

I have a cheap glacier bay faucet like this one from a few years ago. My biggest gripe was seeing it's all one big unit. Where are the different parts you can replace if needed. I was particularly cranky about the hose being plastic since I've had rats find their way in to my supply lines in the past. Anyway, I've had zero issues with it for the few years of solo living and wouldn't hesitate to buy this one at this price if I needed it.
