These pixel prices are too high. Considering their depreciation values, they should be priced way below iPhones. iPhone prices have gotten too high as well. Especially the 16 is practically the same thing as the 15.

Good deal if you have a phone to trade-in which give extra $300 bonus. Got $530 for S24FE.

You obviously don't pay attention when the sales give these phones away then complain later cause you didn't get it then with mint mobile or one of the others. With all the deals typically for the phone portion you can usually get pixel 9 pro xl for like 600 bucks and sell whatever other phone you have to offset the price to usually within 100 bucks to upgrade and get an unlimited phone plan, done it every year so far. My trade in if I were to use is usually no less than I actually paid for the actual phone if I go that route.
Ok. I currently have an unlocked Pixel 7. How can I cheaply get into a P9pro or iPhone?

just a word of caution: google has the perhaps the worst customer support. I had issues with my camera, and after a month of back and forth they asked me to RMA, in return they sent me back a locked fi phone (mine was unlocked). Tl;Dr: don't buy crap for $1000

Does it matter if the trade in is carrier locked?
Where do you see trade-in option in Amazon?

Nope, still live.

But the bonus trade in values are only on previous Pixels, and the $849 sale price is only with Verizon or AT&T activation. Unactivated or Fi is $949, which is the same price as the Google store (which is offering better trade-in) So if you're activating, Best Buy is probably better, if you're not or you're going to activate on Fi or T-Mo or another carrier, then the Google store.

With a 128GB Pixel 8 Pro trade-in:

Best Buy (Activated) $849 - $630 = $219 + $35 activation + tax on $849

Best Buy (unactivated or Fi) - $949 - $630 = $319 + tax on $949

Google store (unactivated or Fi) - $949 - $699 = $250 + tax on $949 (you may still get hit with an activation charge from your carrier if you're adding a line or don't have a physical SIM you can swap from your current phone.)

The regular-sized Pro is $100 less with the same trade-in offers.
It was $749 with vzw or att activation. They increased all prices by another $100

thanks for tposting
I as able to PM with Google Store from amazon, and get the higher trade in for my P8Pro. compared to BBY though in store instant trade in is HUGE, but I have had good experience with google in the past x 2, so I took a chance !

Just purchased the phone with $250 off with trade in for Pixel 8 pro (330 + bonus 300 discount)

$220 + tax after the trade in.

Checked in incognito browser, seems to be "not limited" to best buy plus users. However there is an item limit of 1 per account it seems

Having just got this phone from T-Mobile and planning on switching from a S24 Ultra to it I can't. Samsungs UI is light years ahead of Google's and the S24 is faster and doesn't have the Pixel shutter lag which was annoyingly obvious compared to the S24 Ultra. The cameras in my eyes were no better or worse and all these flagship cameras are so close never buy a phone based on that. All in all I got it because T-Mobile gave me $800 for an iPhone 11 Pro or I'd never bought it. I had a Pixel 3 XL and was so impressed with that phone until it fried itself plugging into a charger and the camera on that phone was amazing. Guess I was hoping for more but the new Pixel is sitting for now and I'll stick with Samsung.

not only camera, speed difference is negligible. pixel 9 series is much better and there should not be much difference in software experience with pixel being android king. Battery life this year is biggest winner on pixel devices. there is no bad choice with smartphones now a days, its just personal preference

Got Google store to pm Amazon

Took like 2 chats and few emails

Pita, way to many hoops to jump through

Chat to pricematch

Response, cannot pricematch and will only do a refund.

Chat to say I placed the order.

Response, cannot process refund until order ships

Order ships and I reply/forward email order back to Google store asking for refund

Response, it needs to be reviewed by their supervisor and I need to grant approval for account review in order to process refund

Reply that I approve it

24hrs later refund is in my account

Waste of mine and googles customer service time, and don't understand why they need to review my account at all for a price match refund request

Mint has it back at 699 and needs "free" unlimited plan.

I thought about it, might hang on to the P7 for a bit longer.

I don't understand why anyone pays so much for a phone. I'm an 8 figure millionaire and I just buy $150 Android phones, usually the better mid range ones on sale. I wasn't born wealthy so my frugality has stuck. If I still made $30K a year like before I would never, ever think about spending so much on a phone, and I certainly would never pay for phone insurance. Screw YOLO, you'll never be wealthy from hard work if you're spending most of your income on luxuries like these. Relying on luck to get wealth is even harder. Be thrifty and invest your money, as much as possible, and don't go for the home runs...

Let me ask you a question: what ply is your toilet paper?

Some people buy a better phone because they want a better experience.
