Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

The $1,400 M4 MacBook Pro does NOT have Thunderbolt 5. The M4 Pro MacBook Pro does which is currently selling for $1,900 at Best Buy.

If you use Instacart gift cards toward this thats another 20% off. You can buy 2 of them via email and you can buy 2 in store, or maybe more if you can checkout more than once.

As someone who upgraded from an M1 Macbook Air, I am loving the 120 Hz display. Feels so much more smoother and responsive. I do miss the thinness and portability of the Air. If only they came out with a 120Hz display on the Air...

It's not faster in evry aspect, in fact the M3 Pro beats the M4 in quite a few places, including the GPU. The M3 Pro has 2 more cores as well. They're almost identical chips. The ports are identical, and the M3 Pro has around 33.6 GB/s (28%) higher theoretical memory bandwidth. Also, isn't the one on Amazon only 16GB?

I don't think anyone mention this yet. Apple secretly added qdot displays to the m4 macbook pros. It has better color gamut and for the first time significantly faster pixel response rate.

If you could get enough gift cards in time, you could essentially get another 20% off. The problem is you can only buy 2 $100 gc every 14 days per membership. Thats online though, not sure what the limit is in warehouse.

Is there a limit to the number of instacart gift cards you can apply per order? I assume you have to buy ~14 of them to cover the cost of the Mac, right? Also, can you do pickup with instacart?
