Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

Noticing a "retailer coupon discount" of $16.17 that was taken off my order, more than compensates for the Instacart fee (and basically pays for the tip). Happy to take it regardless, but does anyone know what the discount is for? It wasn't advertised anywhere, only appeared at checkout. Note: I did not sign up for the $8 discount for signing up for Instacart, this is separate.

I already purchased it from Costco but I rather buy it from BB since I'm a Total Member for the extended warranty.
I tried on BB chat to price match but was unsuccessful Frown
I even use the Instacart and still they wouldn't price match.

Often, they are shopping multiple orders at a store. You may not be wasting their time if they are OOS. Everyone is holiday shopping right now, guessing Instacart is having a good day. I gave $15, a shopper took the order. I think it's way more than enough to pick up one item, but considering the value, I want them to treat it with respect. They can see the tip when they decide to take the order.

Unpopular opining but got this for 1500 not long ago. It's great but idk what's the point of faster "x" anymore. I actually enjoy some downloading downtime to check the phone and whatnot. Feel like every device is pushing the limit to get the most dollars but there is no real roi unless you must have the cutting edge for whatever reason

To the OP: listed specs are wrong. This screen is only 600 nits, the M4 Macbook Pro got the 1000 nit screen. HDR at 1600 is unchanged.

Was able to get a price match at BestBuy after going through the previous posts. Tried 4 days ago but no luck then. Tried today and was able to get price match for 1249.97 + tax. If you are denied price match once, keep trying and hopefully it gets matched.
