Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

The $1,400 M4 MacBook Pro does NOT have Thunderbolt 5. The M4 Pro MacBook Pro does which is currently selling for $1,900 at Best Buy.

They wouldn't accept trade in MBA m1 with price match at the store, just a gift card Frown( just unpacked it, some glue on lid and some white dust near camera on top, possibly they sold excellent open box as "new"? The box is dirty on 1 side hope it's not mold was it tossed back and forth at the store there since November 2023?

I ordered this one and had asked them to refund the price difference. It was approved during the chat conversation. Later, I got an email from CS saying that the match was declined. So I contacted them on chat again and asked for the secure link to pay with the reduced price. Order placed; hope they deliver.

Best Buy trying to be sneaky … Approved my request on Thursday itself so I bought it and picked it up on Friday now I got a email saying its denied since its out of stock at costco. Their "Back End" team checked the validity and it cant be approved.

How exactly can they deny you when you paid AND picked it up? Are they going to charge you the difference in price? I also doubt that's legal. You definitely would have grounds to return for a full refund. Doesn't make any sense.

Literally the same happened to me. 10min after I opened the package, I got the email for the declined price match. Then I tried to get it price matched and paid the invoice to make sure it's not gonna happen again.
