Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

I got it from best buy price match and refund the different.i have to chat 2 time.
I got lucky at second time some one say 2 in stock at fort wayne costco store so i give that store link. It work but now both black and silver gone.

I got it through price match with BB as well - took few tries, but some nice agent who did not ask for zip code and just helped share a private link to place the order. Thanks op!

Now waiting for Costco to put 16" on similar sale Smilie

You shouldn't need a receipt. Just use an incognito window and keep trying until you get a rep who doesn't ask for a zip code before processing the price match. I just did it, got it on my second try.

Is this the deal of the year for MacBooks in general? I feel this is the best bang for your buck kinda of deal. I have been looking for a deal on a new MacBook for few months now. Was waiting for the MBA M4 to be released in March, but couldn't resist not jumping on this deal. Yes the M4 will have a better battery efficiency but for $250 more (compared to a new MBA), I got a bigger 521 SSD and 2 extra GB of RAM. Not to forget the better screen and speakers. My base use is very limited to browsing, emails and other light stuff like using Citrix for remote access.. but man my MBP i5 intel was on its last leg and this feels like a dream compared to my old MBP!

Was $100 a Costco store markdown for that location only as it's not seen online. Even if OOS, Costco warehouse price should have reflected #1100 price but I don't see it marked down to $1100 for "Address: 5611 UTSA Boulevard, San Antonio, TX 78249". How did you get it for $1100? A receipt would be nice!

Picked up one from Costco at Vallejo, CA. They have 2 more in stock. That may be the only place closer to SF Bay Area which has it in stock.
