Check your area for restaurants on the app first before you buy it.

Other than that I've used inKind several times now and have saved a fair bit of money by paying with them instead of cash/card. It's fairly easy to use as well. You get the check when you're done eating, type the order number from the check into the inKind app and everything should come right up on the app.

I went recently and paid for my meal with the app, left a cash tip on the table. When the waitress returned she said saw I had paid on her little tablet thing.

Like I said, as long as you have restaurants in your area that you actually like to eat at and you can use the gift cards naturally, it's fairly a no brainer decision.
because they keep diluting their offers and app overall, every week more devaluations and downgrades
Someone said screw it, we're not going to do this like every other website in the world...we're going to create our own locations experience. And someone else signed off on this turd of an implementation.

Does anyone know when a restaurant charges auto gratuity, can you pay that with this inkind credit? e.g. meal is 200$, automatic 20% (40$) service charge is added. Do you have to pay 40$ out of pocket or with credit.
I understand that for manual tips, you have to pay out of pocket.
Also when does the 25$ referral bonus kick in? Can i load refer my wife, and split the check with two inkind transaction to take advantage of the 25$ + 25$ referral bonus?
If I remember it correctly, you have pay a >=$50 bill to use the referral bonus, which means as long as the total bill is >=$100, you can split it and enjoy $50 off.

inKind is great in my area.
Their offers have definitely been getting worse sadly, but the savings from these GCs alone are worth trying the new restaurants that pop up every month or so.

Does anyone know how Costco tracks the "5 limit per membership"?

i've lost count of how many i've purchased this last year lol

California Pizza Kitchen was recently added like in the past week. Not sure if it's for every location but this got us to visit and the food and service was wonderful!

Even with the diluting of offers, you're still getting 40% off regular menu price with this gift card. Yeah it's not 70-80% every meal anymore but I'm enjoying the discounts while it lasts.

I'd honestly argue that InKind is better now than it was before. You used to have a very small selection of restaurants to choose from. Now there's a wide variety.

Can someone explain how this app works for non-sit-down places. In the video, it shows how you enter your check number and it deducts payment from you; which makes sense for a sit-down restaurant where you get a bill at the end.

I plan on using it for quick service places (Gregory's Coffee Shop, Black Seed Bagels). These places don't give you a check/bill to pay. They ring you up at the register and you pay (on their iPad / POS station).

Does this app have a QR code or something that they could scan or a tap to pay feature that pulls from your balance or payment method? If I ask them to print out a check for me to key in and then show them I paid...the other people in line would kill me.

In the app, they show how to use this app - they show a $100 bill, $50 welcome bonus and they ask to pay 100-50= $50 + $20 auto gratuity + $10 tip = $80
Not sure how this works and why you highly recommend?
If the store is charging auto gratuity you don't need to tip extra.

After they ring you up they'll have the check number. But are you sure they're in the app?

while you are at the register, you have to ask the cashier for the check #, then you type it into the app along with the price and pay. i haven't been given a printed receipt before for quick serve. as for holding up the line, i guess you just got to be fairly quick on the app, but it usually doesn't take me too long.

Probably a no-go for me, the site loads really slow, though it eventually promises over 3190 restaurants. However, its map display is incredibly flaky and I couldn't get it to display the 2 in my town.
The PDF wouldn't load on my firefox, showed 1 page on edge and then crashed it. Chrome showed it without a hitch, but that list clearly does not match the live map view with at least 3 listed in my town. Two I've not heard of, and I don't know if either the interactive map or PDF is actually current.
It was not a confidence-building experience that the system will be easy for me to use.

The auto gratuity is the tip, no need for extra. Some restaurants add a 20 percent automatic tip.
