You start battling right from the start. You start with a few basic parts and fight other basic vehicles. Their parts fall off during battles and if you win you take their parts and add them to your own. You'll build a base to heal and gather materials to sell for upgrades. Different types of vehicles specialize in different areas like combat vs resource gathering. It's a fun game.

Gee. This reminds me of some other free games minus the combat and vehicles part.

The game kind of reminds me of the vehicle building in Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, but the controls are rather clunky IMHO and I called it quits after the tutorial. It's probably a really fun game, I just got a headache from the way the camera shifts around and couldn't see myself playing any further because of it.
